Hello everyone, time for a new development update on Secret of Fantasy. June also brought solid progress, although it was still partly a transition month for the project. Starting in July, more of my day-to-day work can go directly into Secret of Fantasy, which should help move the next development phase forward more consistently. Book 2 is now essentially finished, aside from a few adjustments I plan to address after completing Book 3, while Book 3 has also made strong progress. I am currently working on additional features for this part of the game, as well as the structure, pacing, and progression between runs. I also want to give a small update on the release window. A Q3 Early Access release is no longer realistic. The current goal is now Q4 2026, with early November being the window I am currently aiming for. That said, I also want to be careful with the timing. There is one exceptionally large release expected around that period, and launching too close to it could make things much more difficult for a small indie game like Secret of Fantasy. If the window ends up putting the game too much in its shadow, or if the game needs more polish, I may still adjust the date again rather than rush the launch. The goal remains the same: to release Secret of Fantasy in Early Access when the first three Books feel polished, cohesive, and ready for players. Thank you for following the project and for your continued patience and support. One loop at a time, even if the road ahead gets loud, fast, and crowded.
Hello everyone,Time for a short May update on Secret of Fantasy.May has been a quieter month in terms of visible development. A good part of the month went into organizational groundwork around the project, helping to prepare the next phase and create more room for focused development on Secret of Fantasy over the coming months. On the game side, I continued refining Book 3, the third major section of the game. This mainly included its structure, pacing, progression, and how it connects to the earlier sections. So there is no big reveal this month, but the project is still moving forward step by step.Thank you for following the development of Secret of Fantasy and for your continued support. The loop continues, one step at a time.
Hello everyone, Time for the first small development update on Secret of Fantasy. Overall, development has taken a bit longer than I originally planned. Still, a lot has been moving forward behind the scenes over the past few months. One important note for anyone who played the earlier demo: the main characters have changed since then. The original alien duo has been replaced by Bruno and Patch, and the story has evolved around them. The core idea of a strange fantasy world, card-based idle-roguelite progression, and looping runs is still at the heart of the game.Book 2, the second major section of the game, is now quite far along, and I have already started working on Book 3 in parallel. This helps me keep the later parts of the game in mind early and make sure the overall experience comes together in a cohesive way.I have also decided to release Secret of Fantasy in Early Access first. Before that, the current plan is to finish Book 3 and then do a final round of polishing across all three sections. It is important to me that the game feels as polished and cohesive as possible when it launches. Each section not only continues the story, but also adds new features to bring more variety to the runs, while Bruno and Patch’s journey continues to unfold step by step.If everything continues to go well, I am currently cautiously aiming for an Early Access release in Q3 2026. Thank you to everyone who continues to follow the project, share feedback, and patiently wait for more news. It really helps and keeps me motivated to keep building Secret of Fantasy step by step. If you do not want to miss future updates, make sure to follow the game on Steam or join the Discord.See you in the next loop.
