Age of Damnation alternates between daytime settlement-building and nighttime monster defense, where you gather resources, research technologies, and construct defenses against waves of creatures spawned by a damnation mist. The cycle rewards planning your defenses and expansions, though players note the camera controls could use more granular zoom options and the day-night transitions may cause motion sickness for some.

Overall, the game is pretty good and has a solid foundation. The core gameplay is enjoyable, and the concept is strong. That said, there are a few quality-of-life and pacing improvements that would make it significantly better.

Camera & Controls:
Zooming in and out needs more incremental steps. Right now it feels like you’re either way too close or way too far out, with not much in between. Along with that, the game really needs more control options like say edge scroll speed, mouse movement speed, camera sensitivity, etc. Some moments feel fine, while others move way too fast. Being able to fine-tune all that stuff would be great!

Pacing: (and I am not saying it's to fast here)
The game could benefit from being slowed down slightly and not just the day/night cycle, but overall progression. Let things take a bit longer so players can actually look around, plan, and enjoy what they’re building, while still keeping balance intact.

Content & Building:
I’d love to see more maps and more building options. Things like upgrading structures to stone, upgrading towers, and deeper building progression would add a lot. These features might already exist later on but I really haven’t fully explored everything yet, so I think they’d be great additions.

Hotkeys & Selection:
A dedicated hotkey section would be very welcome. An “all army” hotkey would be useful, and selection could be smarter for example, drag selects only troops by default (kinda like now), and hold Alt to drag-select civilians instead. That alone would improve control a lot.

Final Thoughts:
Good concept, solid start, and definitely fun. With some polish, better pacing, and expanded options, this could be a great game. Looking forward to future patches man so keep up the good work.

Not fun. Has very few sound effects. Mostly just notifications that are annoying. The fog comes back at night and moves, not good for motion sickness.
