About This Game

Rollbound is a short, table-top RPG inspired clicker set at a lonely tavern table, where a single die decides everything. Earn points to progress and gold to upgrade Attack, Defense, Luck, and Gold gain as the stakes climb.

Just sad. You click a button to roll a D20. There are 4 upgrades Attack, Defense, Gold, Luck. They all cap out at 10, and are all upgraded by the end. That is it. That is the sum of the game. You click roll and upgrade things. There are enemies at times, but it doesn't matter, just click roll. Just click Roll. Just click roll. I have played a lot of clicker, incremental, and idle type games. This one I could not recommend even if free.

I came into this expecting nothing and was still disappointed. This was an instant purchase for me as the price was cheap and on the surface this game looks fun. The graphics and animations are good and the music is great. Unfortunately I found the core gameplay severely lacking. There is an illusion of choice when upgrading the D20, as there are only 4 upgrade stats and you'll have all 4 of them maxxed out anyway before you even reach the final boss. It's essentially just a game where you click one button for a couple of hours and that's it. "Prestiging" just does the whole thing over with a speed boost and auto-clicker, with the promise of different endings, but if you don't sit there watching it you'll miss whatever ending you had when you return to a "game over" screen. I feel bad giving a negative review but seriously, save your money.

Simple, chill, dice-rolling fun. It’s easy to jump into and great if you just want something casual to click through and unwind.
