CRT: Corner Right There combines incremental progression with arcade-style gameplay, tasking you with bouncing a moving logo toward screen corners while managing resources and stacking upgrades. You'll deflect obstacles, fight off visual glitches, and work toward increasingly perfect corner hits across roguelite runs. It's built on the satisfying nostalgia of the old DVD screensaver, packaged here as an addictive clicker-adjacent experience for fans of both retro aesthetics and progression systems.

CRT (Corner Right There) takes a very simple idea and turns it into something far more engaging than it initially appears. The goal is deceptively straightforward: bounce the moving logo around the screen and try to land it perfectly in the corner. Yes, that corner. Just like the old DVD screensaver everyone used to stare at, secretly hoping it would finally hit.

The music, while chugging along with a fitting metal energy, does become a little repetitive after a while. Is it a complicated game? Not really. But that’s kind of the point.

At its core the gameplay feels a lot like classic Arkanoid-style paddle-and-ball arcade games. At first it seems very simple, but once you play a bit you start noticing there’s more depth to it. During runs you collect currency that lets you unlock upgrades and power-ups, and these actually change how you approach the game rather than just being random bonuses. Combined with gradually improving your own timing and positioning, it becomes a surprisingly satisfying mix of skill and progression.

The CRT aesthetic is also a big part of the charm. The noisy retro visuals and strong 80s-style presentation give the game a lot of personality and fit the concept perfectly, pairing nicely with the whole Arkanoid / Breakout throwback vibe.

It’s one of those games that’s easy to start, hard to stop, and keeps you saying “just one more round.” If you like retro arcade-style games or simple concepts executed well, this is definitely worth checking out. And the most important thing: when the logo finally hits the corner… it’s absurdly satisfying!

Love it when I hit the deflector thingy JUST right so the logo hits the corner! It's really addictive to keep playing and keep getting better.

Patch 1.0.0: Next Fest Launch!

Steam Next Fest starts in a week, and CRT: Corner Right There is in it! In order to celebrate that, I'm releasing a large balance patch that should make completing the Demo much more realistic! It still won't be easy, but this should streamline the difficulty significantly.New Feature:Grace: after getting hit, subsequent hits within 1.2 seconds deal 50% less damage, up to 75% in total. This should make it feel less bad when you inevitably get stuck in a mine field of Interferences. A small note: in the full version, you can unlock an Ability that deals with this even better!Balance Changes:Upgrades:Lowered the base cooldown of the Reflector ability from 5 seconds to 4 seconds. To compensate, Reflector Cooldown II and Reflector Cooldown III lose some of its cooldown reduction.Reflector Cooldown II is now significantly less expensive.Lowered the base activation time of the Reflector ability from 0.5 seconds to 0.4 seconds. To compensate, Reflector Activation Speed II loses one upgrade level.Shield Capacity I now grants 3 Shield per level, up from 1.Lowered the base cooldown of the Hot Fix ability from 12 seconds to 10 seconds. To compensate, Hot Fix Cooldown III and IV lose one upgrade level.Waves:Waves 3 through 9 now last 25 seconds, down from 30 seconds.Waves 4 through 9 now have a slightly lower spawn rate of interferences.Waves 1 through 10 now have an increased Bits spawn rate. That's it, now go hit that Corner!
