Petal by Petal is a relaxing incremental gardener where you automate flower growth and unlock special abilities that create satisfying synergies. The core loop rewards mindful play with visual payoff as your garden blooms across the screen, while later progression opens up optimization puzzles through emergent ability interactions. Best suited for players who enjoy gentle pacing and discovery-driven gameplay over pure optimization challenges.

Played through the demo and this is full release. Very pleasant and relaxing game with cute graphics. Pretty addictive loop as well.

EDIT:
Having 100%-ed some additinal thoughts. I really like the synergies that start to happen later on and the upgrated tree that starts a bit linear gets more interesting later on. It's not a difficult game by any means but if you want to optimize your playthrough there are some strategic choices. I found both the normal and the idle mode to be pretty fun and well paced.

Some suggestions:
- Add a "quit early" button to the runs
- Add explanations for what everything does, if you're meant to discover it, still there could be some info page after the game finish.
- Also for some reason for me the achievements only registered after I click quit, perhaps something to look into.

Fantastic progression game! Good progression pacing and unique mechanics. Love the different modes! A++ Big recommend.

Only suggestion is maybe a tooltip or "flower book" that explains what each of the power ups does. I liked discovering them while playing but I'm still not sure what some of them do and I beat the game :D

Play the demo and see what this little game has in store for you. If it charms you like it did me, you'll end up buying it.

I played the demo to completion during SNF and it was one of my favorite incrementals of the fest. I played A LOT of incremental demos, and this one stood out to me as having more emergent gameplay than most. The flower abilities that you unlock really make the game - they provide you with strategies to choose from that are rewarding, and satisfying to watch, especially when you get a little chain going.

So far the main game has not disappointed. It seems like several things have been reordered in the unlocks to provide a more balanced experience. I tried out the Calm mode and have really enjoyed the side-by-side, optional-idle mode. Games that take this approach don't always engage me as much, but this feels like it finds a great balance between idle progress and satisfying active play.

The game's visual style is incredibly charming and the music suitably chill for the vibe. I haven't tried the garden mode much because I don't want to spoil the progression of the main game, but I could easily see it as a soothing desktop companion.

Overall this is a great little game, I highly recommend it!
