This seems like a neat game, but the native Linux version is currently broken. Running the Windows version via Proton doesn't work very well either unfortunately. This appears to be a genuine issue with the game and not a configuration problem. I've tried it on four different systems (including a Steam Deck) and the game doesn't work properly on any of them. There are some windowing issues as well. I feel bad refunding an inexpensive indie game, but this game is being sold in an unacceptable state. I'll revisit it once these issues are resolved.

Pretty fun incremental game as a idea, reminds me of those sand window toys with coloured layers, but: [list] [*]Memory leak leads to massive resource usage in a game that's designed to run in the background for prolonged periods of time. [*]Practically no graphics options - can't change resolution, can't play windowed and minimise, both fullscreen and borderless window leave the task bar visible in the bottom. [*]There's no way to restart from zero and one of ascension perks completely softlocks the game preventing all progress(can't research anything if you remove the lowest tier particle as the research tree does not adapt) with no way to continue playing. 11 hours to complete the game... Which gives you a choice on how to play the same game again, with a buff and a negative. But, doesn't appear to change much else. I'm giving this a positive, but wish I could give a mediocre. It's definitely a recommend vs do not buy though. It's simple to grasp, play and progress. Progression is tied to a balance of research, odds of particle types appearing, collecting more and more, while selling to gamble. The very end game, which was about 5 hours into my playthrough (so 6 hours of very end-game), was literally keeping the game open, spinning the wheel and waiting. No further research, just waiting on the last particle type to drop. Only way to increase the odds was to spin the wheel and wait. Your playthrough could be longer. It could be shorter. Just depends on whether the odds are in your favour. Now that I've completed it once and the next playthrough awaits with only a minor change, I think I'm going to shelve the game for a while. Considering the price, it's good enough value. Just wish the end game was better.
