DataFall is a cyberpunk idle game where you build and optimize interconnected systems to generate resources passively or through active clicking. The game offers deep customization options and supports multiple playstyles, though progression hinges on grinding through upgrades and prestige mechanics. It appeals to incremental game fans who prioritize visuals and sound design alongside their number-crunching, though some find the upgrade loop repetitive.

Addictive little idler, shiny screens, numbers go up, fairly grindable gameplay loop, thumbs up!

Idle & Incremental Lovers doesn't recommend DataFall:
Soundtrack is a banger, neon color palette is beautiful. Sadly, it fails gameplay-wise. You can favor a playstyle (idler or clicker), but it's in both cases a repetitive grind with boring upgrades.
+ As mentioned, soundtrack and color palette are great (so I really wanted to like it, but I couldn't).
- Upgrades, both in the prestige system and on the market, are purely of the "numbers go up" type. There is absolutely no change in gameplay through the whole game.
- You're supposed to get 3 exciting new stuff after 3 prestige milestones, but they (relic forge, black market and paragon lab) are disappointing and uninspired.
- Pacing is too slow.
- I pushed to the last prestige milestone, hoping for something big to happen, but it falled flat. There is no ending, the grind goes unrewarded.
*There are two types of people in this world: one, who can extrapolate from incomplete data, two.*
