Dungeon Companion pairs incremental progression with automatic combat, letting your hero battle through a dungeon while you handle real-world tasks. A relic system and tactical gambits—borrowed from FFXII—add strategic depth beyond passive grinding. The streamlined upgrade path and satisfying visuals make it ideal for background play during work or study sessions.

Very entertaining auto-battler. It has a really neat relic system that makes encounters way more interesting. Like a wand that lets you revive if you die. The upgrade system is simple but meaningful, so you can push your hero further and take on stronger foes!

The pixel art is well done and nicely detailed, same with the animations. Music is super relaxing, especially for this kind of game where you can just let it run in the background while doing other stuff.
The gambits system is awesome, I’ve always wanted an auto-battler that actually lets you influence combat more directly. You can set conditionals for when your hero uses certain special attacks. For example, if an enemy is weak to poison, you can have your hero hit them with Internal Eruption, which does extra damage to poisoned-weak enemies.

Really fun game, well made, and runs perfectly. Looking forward to more updates!

Neat game!
I love that you can just let it run in the background while you do other stuff. For me it works perfectly while studying or during online classes.
I really liked the gambit systems, it instantly reminded me of FFXII, which I believe inspired this game. I don’t remember seeing another game with that mechanic.
I’ve already put in several hours and I feel like I’ve hit the max, I just one-shot everything pretty much, I have all the relics, even though my runes are still super low (like 12% each).
For an early access title, in my opinion it’s really well directed. The only thing it needs is a better difficulty curve, because it becomes trivial pretty fast… but that’s totally fine for early access.
Honestly, I’m really curious to see what this game becomes. I hope the next updates are dope!
Highly recommended!

I’ve been having a really great time with this game! It’s super easy to get into and doesn’t overwhelm you with complicated systems at the start. Everything feels smooth and well thought out, and the overall design is honestly really nice. The visuals are clean, the interface is simple, and the progression feels satisfying.

One of the best things about it is how easy it is to play while doing other stuff. I can let it run and still feel like I’m making progress, which makes it perfect for busy days. It’s relaxing but still engaging enough to keep me checking back in.

There are just a few things that I think could make it even better. I’d love a more satisfying click system to boost stats or speed up progress — something that feels a bit more impactful when interacting directly. Relics are fun, but they feel a little too easy to get, so unlocking them doesn’t always feel as exciting as it could.

It’s also a bit confusing to see exactly how much I can spend in the Rune system. A clearer way to track available resources would definitely help. And I’d absolutely love some kind of Monster Book or collection feature where I can see the enemies I’ve already defeated, kind of like an achievement tracker. That would add a great sense of accomplishment and give more goals to work toward.

Overall, I’m really enjoying the game. It has a strong base and with a few small tweaks, it could be even more amazing!

Update [3.0] Reaccitions & Halls Update

Hi everyone! with this update I’m introducing a new mechanic, Reactions, this should add depth to the tactical layer: fights are less “plain actions” and more about setups and payoffs. Hope you enjoy it.ReactionsYou create them by chaining what’s on the enemy with what you do next—either a second status from a skill, or a skill’s element while a status is already active. There are two kinds:Status + StatusElement + StatusReactions are one-way (order matters), and relic-applied statuses don’t trigger the Status + Status path the same way skills do—so the tactical loop stays readable. There are 8 Reactions:Panic — Burn on enemy + Stun from a skill → refreshes/extends Burn and adds extra Stun duration.Toxin Flare — Poison + Burn from a skill → bursts damage for remaining Poison ticks, removes Poison.Crystalline Toxin — Freeze + Poison from a skill → bursts damage for remaining Poison ticks, removes Poison and extends Freeze.Thermal Shock — Burn + Freeze from a skill → burst damage from remaining Burn ticks, removes Burn and Freeze.Sublimation — Frozen + Fire skill → removes Freeze, applies a stronger Burn.Conductance — Frozen + Lightning skill → removes Freeze, applies Stun.Ignition — Stunned + Fire skill → applies Burn.Steam — Burning + Ice skill → applies Freeze.Elemental identitiesEach element has a new distinct combat identity:Fire / Burn — Burn damage escalates per tick.Ice / Freeze — Slows enemy attacks; frozen enemies take bonus damage.Lightning / Stun — Hits on stunned enemies can extend stun.Poison — Poisoned enemies deal reduced damage to the hero.Freeze duration is based on enemy turns, consistent with other effects.Guild Halls (Kitchen, Barracks, Forge, Tavern)Halls no longer passively generate stat points over time.Stat points for HP / STR / DEF / LCK are now granted when you defeat an enemy (amount scales with enemy tier: normal / elite / boss).Hall level increases how many points you earn per kill for that hall’s stat (plus your APM and relevant relics).T...

Update [2.2] Window Resizing & Elemental Relics

Hi everyone! I'm dropping a small update for now. Following your feedback, I’ve added a Window Resize option! You can now find this in the Settings menu. Note: Originally, the "small" fixed window was intended to keep the game discreetly in a corner while you worked. However, I realized the fonts became unreadable for many of you. Thanks for pointing this out—your feedback helps me a lot! New Relics I’m introducing 4 new Relics focused on elemental synergy. These will boost damage against enemies with specific weaknesses (one for each element) and when the enemy is under a status effect. This extra damage also applies to your Click Smites! APM Buff To reward those high-productivity streaks, I’ve buffed the APM multipliers. Your activity now translates into even more power. Thanks again for all the support and for helping the game grow! — Vaalz

Update [2.1] Multi-Monitor Selection & New Relics

Hi everyone! This is a small update with some highly requested features. I hope you enjoy it! Multi-Monitor Selection You can now choose which monitor to display the game on via the Settings panel. Dev Note: I’ve implemented this through the settings menu for now. A "drag and drop" system would require rebuilding the overlay system from scratch, but I wanted to get this functionality to you as soon as possible. Thanks for the feedback on this! New Relics I’m adding 2 new Relics to synergize with the "Smite Clicks" feature added in the last update: Judgement Edge Base: Increases Critical Damage by 5% on Smite Clicks. Level 1: Increases max Critical Chance by 5%. Level 2: Increases Critical Damage by an additional 10%. Level 3: Increases max Critical Chance by an additional 10%. Level 4: Increases Critical Damage by an additional 10%. Smite Surge Base: Successive Smite clicks increase damage by 1% up to 10%. After 3 seconds without clicking, the bonus is lost. Level 1: Cap increased to 15%. Level 2: Cap increased to 20%. Level 3: Cap increased to 25%. Level 4: Cap increased to 35%. Level 5: Cap increased to 45%. Level 6: Cap increased to 60%. Thanks again for all the support. Remember that your reviews mean a lot to me and help the game grow! — Vaalz
