Charming little 3 hour game, well worth the price of admission.

It has some issues, but as a first commercial game by 2 developers it's stellar. Don't expect much in the way of strategy, it's a purely "repeat stages to earn currency and buy whatever upgrades you can afford" to win game.

* Some of the upgrade descriptions aren't great - I completed the game and I still have no idea what any of the upgrades around opening the same chest type multiple times actually do.
* The lightning bolt has 5 upgrades for increasing the number of bolts (it starts at 1) but seems to cap at 4 regardless - not sure what the final 2 upgrades are for.
* Some upgrades are gated behind completing certain tiers and it doesn't explain that to you so it looks like a bug until you unlock them.
* The pacing is a little weird. You'll find yourself stuck on stage 11 for a long time because the last health upgrades are gated behind completing it, but completing it without them is pretty tough.
* Some of the upgrades imply percentages above 100% where it doesn't make much sense (for example, the chance to spawn another chest when opening a chest can be upgraded up to 125%)
* There's a missable achievement (retry 10 times after dying) since once you've unlocked all of the upgrades you literally can't die anymore
* It'd be nice to be able to turn off the beams and the tornado to reduce screen clutter since once you unlock and upgrade the lightning bolts a couple times they're pretty much useless anyway
* The beams can overlap which doesn't feel great - feels like you "wasted" a cast
* The tornado paths randomly, including against the edge of the arena, that doesn't feel great either

All of these are minor quibbles though and don't really detract from the experience too much (aside from the upgrades locked behind tier completion - that felt like a bug and like the devs hadn't playtested their game all the way through).

Solid idle experience with a simple gameplay loop and steady upgrades. I don’t fully understand what half the upgrades do, but the numbers are increasing so I assume I’m winning. 10/10

The features and upgrades unlocked as you tier up are enjoyable, and it’s also a great game to have on in the background while working remotely

Patch — Windows fullscreen / graphics fix

Display / FullscreenAdjusted Windows graphics API so the game prefers Direct3D 11 over Direct3D 12. This addresses reports where fullscreen looked much darker than windowed mode on some PCs. Thanks to pmcelreavy for spotting this issue on their PC, that was a huge help in pinning this down. - Logan

UI, Audio & Window Fixes

Display / windowed modeResizing the game window is now saved to your stored resolution immediately, not only when you alt-tab or quit. Starting a run or loading another scene no longer snaps the window back to the old size.AudioLoot pickup popups can now play different sounds per currency.Popup payout sounds are spaced out slightly so they don’t stack when lots of loot shows at once.UIWith Champion’s Revelation, hovering hero HUD portraits now show a short, styled tooltip for each hero’s ultimate aura, with a slide-in animation.

Smarter chests, UI polish, and first-time guides

ChestsOpening a chest now sends the nearest hero when possible, instead of picking someone far away. This fixes cases where a distant party member was sent to a chest that spawned right next to someone else. UIGame HUD: layout and readability improvements for clearer text and a cleaner layout. UpgradesThe first time you open the upgrade tree, a short hint explains that you can drag to move the tree. Tier 1 briefingThe first time you enter tier 1 in the dungeon, a one-time tutorial panel appears. This brings more clarification about the gameplay. Champion’s RevelationThe first time you purchase Champion’s Revelation from the upgrade tree, a one-time info panel appears with extra context on what your heroes can do from that point on.Lastly, we appreciate all the time you took to play the demo. Your feedback means a lot to us and lets us improve the game, thank you :)
