Fellwood tasks you with converting a distant forest into timber through escalating weaponry—from axes to magical cannons—while managing resource chains and layering automation upgrades. The core loop alternates between deploying your arsenal, collecting harvested logs, and reinvesting into increasingly powerful tools that run passively between sessions. It appeals to players who enjoy planning production chains and watching exponential growth unfold with increasingly absurd means.

Just a horrendously boring game. Upgrades don't feel meaningful. The prestige points system being luck based on accrual slowed my progress to a crawl as most prestige upgrades are worthless garbage that do nothing to actually speed up your experience, making their "powerful" description feel like a bad joke. I got extremely bored after a couple of prestiges as collectors remained a major pace killer each time, and I just gave up on finishing this because I wasn't engaged in the least in the micromanagement menus on menus based "gameplay" loop.

I've played well over a dozen other incremental games on Steam, and this easily ranks at the bottom for me. Simply leave it be and play something better.

The progression is honestly kind of dull and the game is pretty short. Since your roguelike upgrade choices are based on what weapons you have unlocked your best bet is to simply only build one weapon type so you can pump all your upgrade into that weapon. If you do that you can finish the game after just a couple of prestiges without even unlocking any of the higher tier prestige bonuses, making the whole prestige system feel kind of redundant.

Amazing game that gives "Dwarfs Eat Mountain" vibes. I predict spending many hours playing this game and it's very satisfying to use the various towers to hit the bullseye when I want, or just let it idle when I'm doing something else. A fantastic combination of idler and incremental.

Prestige Rebalance Update

Hey everyone! One of the biggest pieces of feedback I've seen since launch is that prestiging often didn't feel rewarding enough. For a system that's supposed to make each new run noticeably stronger, too many of the upgrades were either too expensive, too small, or simply didn't feel worth spending your prestige points on.This update is focused heavily on fixing that.Prestige Upgrades Have Been Significantly BuffedA large number of prestige upgrades have received substantial buffs. The goal is for spending prestige points to have a much more noticeable impact on your next run and allow the game to scale much more aggressively as you progress.I've also adjusted the cost and placement of several upgrades. Some upgrades have been moved into lower tiers because their previous requirements simply didn't match their power.Fewer Filler UnlocksSeveral prestige upgrades have also been consolidated.Previously, the Log Temple, Mage Guild, and Engineering Guild were three separate prestige upgrades. These have now been combined into a single upgrade.Likewise, the twelve separate Tier 3 Projectile unlocks have been consolidated into a single prestige upgrade.A few unlocks that didn't feel like they belonged in the prestige tree at all have been removed from it. For example, the Log Turret is now unlocked automatically rather than requiring prestige points. The idea is to spend less of your prestige currency unlocking small prerequisites and more of it buying upgrades that actually make you stronger.New Tier 5 Upgrade – Automatic Gold UpgradesI've also added a brand-new Tier 5 prestige upgrade aimed at making later prestiges and long idle sessions much smoother.Once unlocked, the game will automatically purchase gold only upgrades costing less than 1% of your current gold, checking once per second. This should make the beginning of later prestiges much less tedious, while also helping during long idle sessions as all of those smaller upgrades continue adding up in the background.St...

Fellwood has had a wonderful first weekend, with over 7,000 copies sold!As a solo developer, it has been incredible seeing so many people jump into the game, build their encampments, experiment with different strategies, and push Fellwood much further than I ever expected.I also want to thank everyone who has taken the time to send feedback, report bugs, and share their thoughts. I've already been working on improvements based on what players have been saying. If you've spent some time playing Fellwood, I have one small request:Please consider leaving an honest review on Steam.Whether you loved the game or have feedback on things you'd like to see improved, reviews are incredibly valuable. They help me understand what players are enjoying, what could be better, and help other players decide whether Fellwood is the kind of game they'd enjoy.Thank you again for making Fellwood's launch such a memorable one. I really appreciate everyone who has played and supported the game. ❤️
