In this developer simulator, each tap represents a line of code as you progress from writing scripts in obscurity to building a major tech company. The core loop involves automating your workflow through upgrades and hiring while managing the development cycle toward game releases. It appeals to anyone curious about software development or who enjoys watching small operations scale into industry powerhouses.

This is a very good small game. It took around 3 hours to max out. I played it as a cosy game on the easiest difficulty. There is a little management, clicker, and minigame in it. There are goals and some upgrades.
All in all, it is a small but very good game; I enjoyed playing it. I think it's totally worth the money. So I recommend it.

Patch ReviewIn this patch, I focused on fixes reported by players after release, as well as improving comfort on different screen sizes. What ChangedAI projects now unlock earlier: at level 25 instead of level 30.The achievement for taking the first AI project has been checked and should continue working correctly.Added new display settings:fullscreen mode;windowed mode;borderless window;interface scale;FPS cap.Improved UI readability on large 2K/4K monitors.Fixed French localization issues where some text displayed incorrectly.Other available languages were also checked for similar encoding and broken-symbol issues.Cleaned up broken fallback text in the interface.Additional NotesThis patch should not break existing saves. The changes were added so current players can continue their progress without resetting the game.Thank you to everyone who leaves feedback, reports bugs, and shares suggestions. It really helps make the game more polished, stable, and enjoyable.

Dev Life is now available on Steam! 🥳

Dev Life is now available on Steam! 🥳 This is my first game, and it has been a long and very meaningful development journey for me. I tried to create a game about starting from the bottom, learning programming, taking freelance projects, managing money, building a team, and slowly moving toward bigger goals.During development, I put a lot of effort into the details: different difficulty levels, projects, mini-games, upgrades, banking, housing, transport, achievements, and progression. I know the game may still have things that can be improved, but I truly tried my best to make it interesting and enjoyable. If you find a bug, notice something strange, or have ideas for improving the game, please leave your feedback in the comments. Your suggestions will help me understand what should be fixed, balanced, or added in future updates.Thank you for giving Dev Life a chance. I really hope you enjoy the game!
