At time of review (right after release), this game feels rather clunky and unpolished.
  • there is no tutorial
  • the documentation doesn't fully line up with actual functionality (e.g. documentation shows arithmetic opcodes taking one argument, but they actually take two)
  • the scoring is unclear (what is bonus score? what determines "power used"?)
  • in addition, optimizing for a single "score" value misses out on a large part of the appeal of zachlikes, which is optimizing for different metrics at the expense of others
  • there doesn't seem to be a way to step individual cycles in the simulation
  • maybe it gets better later on, but the early puzzles feel rather uninspired and boring

In general it feels like this game is trying to be TIS-100 with a fancier interface, but currently it just kind of falls flat.

I have to agree with the other negative reviewer citing no tutorial (not a personal deal-breaker for me) except the documentation is incorrect.

Id also like to point out this is not an early access title as of writing this
