Lead a growing army of monsters through an idle progression loop where you accumulate brains and unlock increasingly powerful creatures. Automation plays a key role as you recruit minions to handle resource gathering while you purchase upgrades that amplify your horde's effectiveness. The game pairs straightforward incremental mechanics with B-movie horror theming, appealing to players who enjoy both genre parody and the satisfying grind of expansion systems.

Most apocalypse media tells you to barricade the house, stock up on supplies and aim for the head. But not this one! With Night of the Idle Horde we wanted to flip that on its undead, disembodied head by giving you control of a ravenous band of zombies to topple civilization. We’re huge fans of idle and incremental games, but also passionate horror fans so marrying the two is a no-braaaaaaaaainer. And yes, also enormous fans of Night of the Living Dead, and George Romero. The premise is simple, and the depth comes from juggling the need to build an army with the benefits of permanently upgrading abilities. How does it work?Take your zombie into a region. Attack humans. Spread the infection. Collect brains. Buy permanent upgrades or just raise more undead. Repeat until world domination! The depth comes from the systems and your choices; zombie types, resource harvesters, mutations, Sigils, all combine to give you a say in how you topple regions and spread the infection. You can micromanage horde placement with instant troop movement, track resources and upgrade on the fly, or sit back and let your necrotic friends wrack up some points before you swoop in to supercharge their skills. Busy at work but want to continue your rampage? Why not try Desktop Mode and enjoy some mini carnage! The demo is available now, featuring 5 zombie types, 5 automations, 14 mutations, 5 Sigils and 1 Region. The full game launches on November 16. We would love it if you could play and review the demo, wishlist the game and shout about us to your friends. It isn’t long until launch! They’re coming to get you, Barbra… Eat the world!
