The archive reaches the Cretaceous Development on Epoch Vault has reached its next major milestone. Volume III, devoted to the Cretaceous Period, is now part of the game and will be included in the launch version. After restoring the Jurassic, players will open a new progression tree that follows life from the rise of flowering plants and the last great sauropods through the reign of tyrannosaurs and horned dinosaurs, all the way to the asteroid impact that ended the age of dinosaurs. The new Volume is divided into Early and Late Cretaceous phases, with 91 discoveries in all. Familiar names such as Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Spinosaurus, Quetzalcoatlus, and Deinosuchus appear alongside lesser-known creatures, plants, environments, and events that shaped the period, ending with the Chicxulub impact itself and its immediate aftermath. What is new Volume III: The Cretaceous Period. A new progression tree with 91 discoveries spread across two phases. The archive now holds 244 discoveries in total across all three periods. Excavations. A new interactive mechanic. A dig site opens periodically, and players search a grid for category symbols to earn temporary bonuses and a chance at a rare Seal. 16 new achievements. They cover Cretaceous progression, landmark species, Codex milestones, and the excavation mechanic. The game now contains 56 achievements in total. Zoom fixed for everyone. Mouse wheel and trackpad pinch-zoom on the tree were broken for all players and now work correctly. Real-world date ranges. Every era label now shows how many millions of years ago that period actually took place. Support for two more languages. Polish and Korean join the nine languages already in the game, bringing the total to eleven. Various other bug fixes and stability improvements. Dig for discoveries Excavation sites now open on their own from time to time.
