Meet Gulugulu, a tiny co-worker for your desktop
3 days agoHi — I'm the one person behind Mobi Studio. For Gulugulu's first Steam post, I should probably start with the obvious question: what exactly is it?Gulugulu is a pet game that lives in the corner of your Windows desktop. You can send the little creatures to work, spend their coins on eggs and backyard upgrades, and slowly hatch, raise, collect, and fuse different species. There is also a slightly questionable monster-factory run hidden inside the desktop pet game: hire creatures, build an office tower, chase the KPI, and try not to go bankrupt before payday. If you use Claude Code or Codex, Gulugulu can also react to activity from your local coding agent and turn usage into pet progress. That integration is an extra layer, not an entry ticket. Without installing or connecting any AI tool, the desktop pet, hatching, collecting, ordinary fusion, and factory game all work normally.I also want to be honest about where the game is today: it is still being polished. I am working through the first-time experience, onboarding, factory pacing, and smaller interruptions that can get in the way of normal desktop work. Because of that, there is no public playtest or preview access at the moment. I will share a separate update only when the next build is genuinely ready.Gulugulu is scheduled to launch on Steam for Windows on August 18, 2026 at 00:00 GMT+8, with a launch price of $1.99 USD. Regional prices will be shown in your local Steam store. If you enjoy desktop pets, creature collecting, or simply want a tiny companion in the corner of your screen, you can add Gulugulu to your wishlist. Future posts will introduce more of the game and share how development is going. Thanks for giving this odd little creature a look.
