The free demo of DEEP BLUE CONTACT is now available. Visit our Steam store page and select “Download DEEP BLUE CONTACT Demo” to give it a try. DEEP BLUE CONTACT is a deep-sea exploration game with a focus timer, designed to turn time spent working or studying into an expedition beneath the waves. We’re building a quiet space aboard a research vessel where you can travel into the deep at your own pace. Releasing this demo is also a chance for us to hear from people who have actually spent time with the game. We’ve been making adjustments from a developer’s perspective, but there are things we can only learn by seeing how the experience feels to a first-time player—and how it fits into someone’s everyday work or study routine. We’d love to hear what you enjoyed, what was confusing, and anything that caught your attention. Screen readability, controls, sound, and the timer’s ease of use are all useful topics. Even a brief impression helps. Specific examples, such as “I wasn’t sure what to do here” or “This would be more convenient if…”, are very welcome. Please share your thoughts in the Steam Community discussions. If you encounter a bug, including what you were doing, the steps involved, and your system details will help us investigate. We’ll read your feedback and consider it alongside the experience we want to create as we continue improving the game. For now, we hope you’ll feel free to spend a little time in the deep. Thank you to everyone who tries the demo and everyone who has been following its development. Download the free demo Share your feedback on Steam Community
In DEEP BLUE CONTACT, time spent at your desk becomes a deep-sea expedition. Here's what you can expect from the free Windows demo, currently planned for October 6, 2026. Choose your focus time, then set out Before departing, choose a depth zone and how long you want to focus. Sessions run from 15 to 240 minutes in 15-minute increments, with a 25-minute option too. “I'll write for 25 minutes” or “I'll read a little longer” becomes the length of one dive. The demo lets you explore two zones: “Last light,” where a trace of blue remains, and the much darker “Silent Sea.” The sea looks and feels different at each depth, even through the same circular window. You don't have to keep watching the screen while the vessel descends. We imagine the cabin sitting beside your work, ready for an occasional glance out the window. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/46405828/9baee7b4c7b1a1bf2cba9e68e10b319073c0e2aa.png Image 1: The free demo's preparation screen. Choose one of two depth zones and a focus duration. Revisit what you discovered At the end of an expedition, you'll encounter a deep-sea creature. These encounters use real expedition footage published by NOAA Ocean Exploration. The cabin and the descent beyond its window are game scenes; the creature records use footage captured in the real ocean. After returning, you can replay your observation records in the field guide as often as you like. If you can't watch closely while working, you can come back later to see how a creature moves and check the filming information. We designed the encounter to leave something to enjoy after your focus session, without interrupting it. The demo includes 12 observation records with real footage, including the brief introductory experience. The Crossota jellyfish shown below is one of them. {STEAM_CLAN_IMAGE}/46405828/b00bcdd1bb16fb2923b0e1b1d886d9d100eea665.png Image 2: An observation record from the full game in development.
