This could be overlooked if it brought something new to the table, but I'm not seeing it. If you were looking for something that plays like Big Pharma, but with interesting twists, keep looking. Or maybe come back when it leaves early access.
Candy Machine
by Colossal Wreck
Media
Candy Machine tasks you with constructing a factory assembly line using machines and conveyors to mix ingredients and produce candy for sale. The core loop borrows heavily from optimization games like Big Pharma, but players report that awkward controls and unclear feedback significantly hamper the experience. The concept has potential, but the game needs substantial refinement before it's worth your time.

A Poorly Designed Big Pharama Clone

+ Great concept. Managing a candy factory, making candy, selling candy, I mean it all sounds great.
- It seems like the developer was trying to directly copy Big Pharma in terms of concept, design, and gameplay mechanics. If you have not played Big Pharma I HIGHLY recommend avoiding this, and playing that game instead.
- Very poor tutorial that will probably leave most people confused
- The controls are not very good. Conveyor belts don't line up properly, it's hard to de-select items to click on others, I kept accidentally deleting things by right clicking, and rotating with E instead of R just felt weird.
- Visually the game looked pretty "plain".. I was expecting more from a candy factory.
- The story was laughably bad, unless it was made by a toddler there's no excuse for how little effort went into it.
- Overall it just felt "half-baked", good concept, lots of potential, but in the end it just felt rushed to release.
