If you have already played ZUP you'll find Oik very similar. The objective remains the same i.e. the blue cube has to reach the blue platform. As opposed to ZUP where we made several cubes explode with just the press of a button in Oik you make cubes disappear which will affect all other elements. My favourites are those levels that include makeshift seesaws so when cubes fall on one of their ends other items get catapulted far away. We have dozens of levels that will eventually introduce new elements to the game world but the overall casual nature of the game remains the same. It is very relaxing and while some later levels require some thinking Oik never gets too difficult to make you stop playing. I have already stated in my review of ZUP and qop that I like these relaxing, short puzzle games but do not really appreciate the fact that some later episodes have hundreds of achievements available. For these series I did an exception and I tried the first episode only. You can give this one a try (it is only 1 EUR and gets even cheaper when on sale) and if you are fond of increasing the library of your 100% completed games you can collect all its sequels, too.

What players are saying
Dr_Crewcut has copied this game from the Zup! developers. Nevertheless, this game is a good puzzle game for achievement hunters, casual gamers and kids. It is very similar to the Zup! series. All the achievements are fairly easy to get and if you find yourself stuck in some level, you can always look into the guide section of the community hub of the game.
Yet another achievement spam clone designed in GameMaker. It's essentially ZUP with one difference: coloured blocks cannot be destroyed by click. This means you will have to be more precise in timing to knock, bump, or propel unwanted red blocks off the screen. If you want a couple hundred achievements, get it, but the fun only lasts about an hour. The stages are sloppier and the difficulty is inconsistent. And it goes without saying, not much replayability.
