Hidden Cats in Berlin is Nukearts Studio’s latest release in their hidden object city series. Following the same formula as each of their previous entries, it is sure to appease fans of all ages. Pros

Over 900 objects to find
Normal & advanced levels
Bonus levels
Great for all ages
Easy colour scheme
Cons

Last level, finding 100 people is frustrating

If you would like to see more reviews written by me, please follow my curator page and help support my work Cookie Reviews.

Gameplay
Fans of previous games will know exactly what to expect here. The main levels are separated into normal and advanced modes. Once cats are found in a specific building or area, the surroundings will light up with different colours. This signifies to players that all the cats in this area have been found, and to focus on the black and white areas to find the rest. Around 20 human characters are to be found as well. Finding specific cats in advanced mode will open up more bonus levels. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3195748200 I enjoyed the bonus cat levels which feature more specific locations that resemble the city and culture of Berlin. However, similarly to Nukearts Studio’s last games, the last bonus level features 100 hidden cats and 100 people to find. The map is huge and whilst I liked finding the cats, the people can become a bit of a slog, as it is incredibly detailed and feels like a different game compared to the other levels. It is optional, but for those who want 100% all levels must be completed.
Visuals & Sound
Visuals in the main levels are bright and easy to follow which is one of the reasons why Nukearts Studio are my favourite developer for hidden object games. Noise volume for meow hints is great to toggle with and ambience and music can also be toggled which I enjoy, as I like to play these games while watching something in the background. Playtime: 2.5 hours for 100%
Conclusion
Overall, Hidden Cats in Berlin is another fantastic and easy to play hidden object game for all ages. With great accessibility, audio options and visual aesthetic, I will continue to look forward to Nukearts Studio’s next game and discover which city they will cover next! Recommend for HOG fans. About This Game
HALLO! Our cats are now in the awesome city of Berlin! Let's search for them. A short and pleasant experience in a big and lovely illustration! Start with a Beautiful monochromatic scenario, relax, and find all the cats to reveal the final colored art.
What players are saying
I enjoyed this game compared to cats in Spooky Town or the Christmas themed one. As usual, you look for the cats in the scene, click on them and they change colour. If you find all the cats on a building it too changes to colour and so you know you've found everything in that area. I find that particularly useful if you're down to the last few cats you need to find :-) Some of the buildings have a little explanation on them - Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Wall etc, so you find out a bit about the city as well at the same time. I liked that and hopefully they will add more of that sort of thing in the future. In the main game, you need to find people in the main scene as well as cats and special named cats. If you actually like cats, then finding one called Cappuccino might excite you but I don't, so it didn't. If you finish the main level there are some bonus levels too, which I wish they would colour like the main levels. In terms of difficulty it's not too hard. As you can see, I've 100% completed it in less than 90 minutes, but maybe that's because I've played a few of them now and have gotten better through practice. That said, if you're looking for an entry level game in the series this might be for you. I bought it on sale, so I'm happy with the price for the time it took to complete. I'm not sure if I'd paid full price for it and finished it in less than 2 hours. Still, if you see it on sale, it's worth a punt. Alles klar, herr Komissar ...?
Travelling to Berlin on a light rainy day, petting cats and visiting historical and cultural landmarks along the way. Besides the ordinary feline, we get to see special ones and interesting people. Playing this game makes you want to book a flight to Berlin. I just loved it! PROS: - Up to 1000 cats to find; - Black-n-white to colored worlds; - Engaging music and ambient sounds; - Easy to learn mechanics; - Easy to obtain achievements. NEUTRE: - In the train station minigame, after you collect all the cats, the title doesn't appear. CONS: - Nothing else. As such, I recommend it to players that love cats and Hidden Objects!
