Really good mechanics. It has potential.

But fun factor is low. The game seems to play on its own. Player is not required. You only buy new stuff and wait to buy new items over and over. No plot, no goals, nothing fun to do. Feels like an alpha stage

To me, the core game engine is 100% The Sims from the early 2000's. Like the Devs copied and pasted The Sims code right into their game, Maxis and EA might want to peek at that. The characters even speak the same language. The UI is almost exactly the same, just slightly re-arranged and mechanics changed to reflect a bar/tavern. Within the first 10 seconds of game play I was like, oh wow, I remember this game, The FIRST Sims game, just stripped down, A LOT!

I've got maybe an hour, hour and a half invested into this game. Already level 7 and I'm already tired of playing it. Poor design, there's nothing really to do after about an hour. It's just rinse and repeat the same process. Lot's of "quality of life" things lacking, the biggest killer for me, and the reason I will not be playing it anymore and will lead to my negative review is the radius system of EVERYTHING, radius for kitchen counter, radius for bar, radius for the ale barrel thing, whatever that is. Wouldn't be so bad, but if I put a table outside of the radius of the kitchen counter, so it only gets served by the bar and not the kitchen, then every customer at that table will leave pissed off because they wanted food. Player should be able to specify the table, if it's for the bar and kitchen or just the bar, or just the kitchen. It is impossible to have any kind of normal bar or tavern layout simply because of the radius issue. I'm assuming it's just the devs being lazy and this was the easiest quickest way to make this game.

Sorry, kind of went off topic from what game I thought it reminded me of. Overall just a crappy game, typical half ass crap we get from devs these days, doesn't matter if it's finished, doesn't matter if it makes sense or is re-playable or not. Just get it out, mentality... Only positive side was I snagged it at 5 bucks, so not a real loss here.

Awesome game for about 30 minutes, after that you've experienced everything there is.

After a really slow beginning stage, it ended up having a satisfying enough progression loop but unfortunately it lacks any charisma or charm to set it apart. The main reason I'd recommend this game is if you've got the itch for tavern sims but you wanna play on the Steam Deck. I had a few problems being able to select the gold to reputation slider at first but it works mostly fine on SD. Otherwise, you can probably pass unless you're *really* keen to play a tavern sim.
