I played this exactly as long as I needed for it to let me leave a review. Let me start by saying it's entirely possible I'm missing something. Maybe this game is, in fact, playable. Maybe you can actually put in a code. And maybe this first section, the bit with the dial you see in the trailer, is just a bait-and-switch entrance to some larger experience. But I can only review what I can see, and... hoo-boy. Here's how the game works. You grab the dial and spin it. The screen starts pulsing to a heart-beat sound effect, starting white and then red. After 6 seconds, you lose. You try again, and you lose. You try again, and you lose. You try spinning the dial slowly, or fast, it affects nothing. You realise that you're on a timer - once you start turning the dial, you only have 6 seconds. The white and red aren't positional hints, it's just telling you you're about to fail. There are no clicks as you turn the dial, no other sounds at all, only that heartbeat. You start to think maybe it's the heartbeat you're supposed to be listening to, but no matter how or where you turn it, it's the same speed, same volume, same pitch, same tone. Nothing ever changes. Eventually you realise something, something that feels like it should be game-changing; that 6 second limit is for a single "attempt" at spinning the dial. If you let it go, the invisible "timer" gradually restores. Now, you can keep an attempt going as long as you like, no more game overs, just let go when the dial turns red. This doesn't help. The supposed sound "feedback" is still non-existent. Spinning the dial fractionally, trying to find the right positions by brute force, doesn't work. You doubt there is a code. At one point, you step away from your PC for a bit. With the mouse untouched, and nothing happening, you eventually hear a "click". You have no idea why, and can never recreate it. This isn't a game. It's a cruel joke. (Edit: The review previously noted that this took up a massive amount of space for what it is, due to the inclusion of multiple folders clearly marked as not for inclusion. An update has since removed those and brought the game down to an under 100MB install, to the dev's credit.)

Unlock Me !! is a minimalistic puzzle game that challenges players to crack a six-digit safe code by rotating a lock and listening for subtle audio cues. The concept is simple: turn the dial, pay attention to the sounds, and try to figure out the correct combination. At its core, the game leans into a hyper-casual, almost meditative experience, but its execution leaves a lot to be desired. Many players struggle with the lack of clear feedback, particularly the absence of distinct clicking sounds that would normally indicate progress. This turns what should be a satisfying trial-and-error puzzle into a frustrating guessing game. For those who manage to get past the learning curve, the game does offer a fleeting sense of accomplishment, but it’s over almost as soon as it begins. There’s little incentive to keep playing beyond a couple of attempts, and the game’s short lifespan is its biggest weakness. Overall, Unlock Me !! feels more like an experimental project than a fully fleshed-out game. With better sound design, clearer mechanics, and more engaging gameplay elements, it could have been a fun, quick puzzle experience. As it stands, it’s an interesting concept that doesn’t quite hit the mark.
