I liked this little idle game quite a lot, however, even though it has automation for some tasks, in my opinion it’s a game that requires more attention than expected. although you can automate cleaning the environment and shearing the little sheep, there was something missing to feed them and especially to help them get back up when they fall to the ground (since the wool doesn’t grow back if they stay fallen). aside from these two points, I loved the game.. it’s very cute and colorful and the sheep are beautiful, with many variations of colors and patterns in each one’s wool, with each type of wool also having a different value depending on its rarity. Overall, it’s a good option for those who like casual and lightly idle games.

There's no denying it, the sheep are really cute and I was attracted by the art style, but I cant help but feel like the game is too simple and lacking in content for the price. I accept that it is an idle game, but there's close to nothing to do but to shear sheep, wait to earn enough money to buy another sheep, wait for it to grow, and repeat.
Firstly, there is very little available interaction with the sheep itself. You can do 5 actions: Shear the sheep, feed the sheep (which also has a cooldown), pick up poop, pick it up when it falls over and drag it around. Clicking on the sheep does nothing as there is no UI to see its details or how its doing. There is no name and you can't name it either. As such I felt very little connection to the individual sheep. They just feel like more of the same sheep but in different simple patterns and colors. Why not have vampire sheep, or candy sheep, instead of just yellow sheep with red dots?
A lot of the gameplay is spent waiting for the sheep to grow wool so that you can shear it again and earn enough to buy another baby sheep, and repeat. The sheep also get more and more expensive, so it takes a long time to get new sheep despite your growing income. While there is a breeding aspect to the game, the cost to build a barn is 10,000 gold, while you get only about 5-15 gold per sheep shearing. With the rising price of sheep, it will take a long time before I can gather enough income to even start breeding. There are 60 colors to collect in total, 22 of them seem to be only obtainable by breeding. I managed to collect 15 sheep with different colors within 30+ mins of rather active gameplay.
Another gripe is that there is nothing you can do to customise the paddock. You can add more fences and that's about it, No water trough, toys, flowers, decor or whatever. Just same old paddock which fills with poop very quickly. The paddock feels generic and boring over time, and doesn't give much opportunity for the player to personalise and become attached to the paddock or the sheep.
TLDR: Really cute sheep, but I just really feel like the creator could have done more to make the game more unique and varied other than different simple color variants of sheep. To me it had insufficient content to justify the price and was not worth the continued effort of repeatedly coming back to shear sheep and clear poop just to add another colored sheep to my herd that I wasn't attached to. Perhaps another person wouldn't mind the slow progression and simple gameplay but it is not for me.

Although admittedly, this idle game is incredibly cute, and I enjoyed getting as many of the patterns are possible, there is currently not much to it. In this game, you feed sheep, shear the wool they produce to make money, help up tipped over sheep, and buy or breed more sheep. Which pattern that comes out of breeding two sheep seems random, making it a little bit of a hassle to acquire all bred-only patterns. Additionally, it would be great to be able to buy a device that helps up the tipped over sheep while AFK.
Whereas Garden Galaxy allowed for much more customization and interaction, while still being an idler, Woolly has much less to offer.
