A psychological horror farming simulator where you tend to your small farm, gradually progressing from humble beginnings to running a farming empire. Plant, harvest, sell, sleep. Just try to ignore anything out of the ordinary.
Has potential, needs some work
i have played for almost 5 hours and got the denial ending, i found this game of the creators tiktok i will try be as objective as i can but by all means this isint a hate thread i think theres something interesting in this project.
the gameplay loop is fine but gets very repetitive around the fourth or fitth ingame day and i feel like the main story could be shorted by 2 or ingame days to respect players time. when it comes to story telling the game hints at a major event for a large portion of the playtime via text dialogue and when you reach the end the conclusion feels very underwhelming and uneventful i dont feel motivated to try again as the core loop feels so a little bit tedious, im a person who aprecites farming games and im not a big graphics buff yet i still feel undwehlemed unfortunately as i see their is passion in this project.
on a positive note i quite enjoyed the music and the piano like sounds reminded me of a funeral which is very in theme for this games topic which is a nice piece of worldbuliding, i also think the water maze looked cool
i also didint stumble upon any bugs which is nice to see.
final conclusion: i wish the best to the developer my key takeaway would be try work on storytelling and make the core gameplay loop more interesting.
im exited to see what else the developer creates and wish best of luck <3!
A game of two halves, if you enjoy farming simulation this provides a great gameplay loop of growing and harvesting crops day by day and selling to customers, i personally found it extremely stressful, as trying to balance customers orders with selling your other crops you don't need and upgrading your farm can get out of hand quickly if your finger isn't on the pulse. Though there are certainly ways of making this easier for yourself, towards endgame i knew i had not upgraded like i should have, leading to me turning away a large number of customers.
The other half of this game is psychological horror, and as a lifelong consumer of horror media i wasn't disappointed at all. Several of the moments in this i now consider some of my favourites in horror games in general. In several segments the atmosphere is so claustrophobic i had to pause and regather myself.
If you like farming games, and horror media, this is definitely for you, especially at such a low price tag.
This is a great horror game in my opinion. It doesn't often jump out at you, it just sits there, the scares are built up to perfectly. the farming is addictive, the customers are interesting, the graphics look so cool. I love the style. I got the one of the endings, but i really would like to see the others. This game also brings a sense of mystery, I personally think that Your wife died, presumably of drowning, I think that this whole journey is his grief in the loss of his wife(?), his wife's name is Lucy, as seen with the strawberry description. We can also gather from the strawberry description that our character still remembers her. He thinks about her so much and the strawberries remind him of her. In the first dream I think the woman in the labyrinth is Lucy, and if you get too close, the water gets dense and you drown. The second dream I can only imagine is a representation of our character's head space as we seem lost in a corn field looking for the lamb. I imagine that the lamb is his wife, the lamb representing the innocence or maybe the joy in Lucy. We look for the rotted lamb, which represents the loss of his wife and the loss of the joy in our life. The last dream is the acceptance or maybe our inner conscience telling us to accept. I can't entirely tell why the faceless people, I imagine it's to represent the disassociation or the separation from the world that our character experiences. I don't know everything of course, but I'm gonna have to complete the other endings.

New year, new update!Happy new year everyone, hope it's a good one. It should be a good one if you're a fan of the Field Between atleast, I have plenty of major updates already planned, but that's for another time... However, I'm starting the year off strong with a brand new update, lets call it Cryophobia+. This update mostly focuses on smaller improvements, things that I didn't have the time to fully polish or implement before the deadline of the main Cryophobia update, plus a few fixes for issues I'd noticed since that release.Brand new demo! For all my free Field Between fans, don't feel left out, I know you probably feel like you're missing out on all these exciting new updates, so miss out no longer! Or do some complicated file editing...Patch notesEnhanced fire and smoke effects for torches and campfiresTorches and campfires now release embers when interacted with for better visual clarityThe torch flame now shrinks as its duration depletesFootprints now appear when walking in the snow, to help with navigation and look prettyThere is now a sound for collecting firewoodAdjusted the frozen flesh AI to make it easier to escapeFixed issue with duplicate customers in Cryophobia modeChanged compression for music files, which should hopefully reduce random lag spikes
