Open playtest is now... open!It will remain open for some time, probably until the demo is released and it reaches the gold version - so this is a limited time window for anyone to test the game and provide feedback and suggestions!We've already made adjustments to the game since it was last played at a live event, few weeks back. Almost the end of the week and here's a bit of news as well! Expo GamersFirst off - GameGlis team will be attending Expo Gamers tomorrow & on Saturday (29th & 30th May 2026) and we'll have our own booth. Anyone who comes will be able to play the latest version of the game, so be sure to drop by if you're nearby :)Progress updateNext, we consider the first level of the game to be complete, and currently working on the rest. We highly appreciate all player feedback gathered at the last live event - we hear you and are working hard on making the game great! Examples here have ranged from koala colors on level 1 to higher difficulty modes being even more challenging. Game revealKoala fans around the world - rejoice! The world will this year become richer by one more game focused on koalas - Covert Koalas: Phasco. Why koalas? Well, they are cute, fluffy, and not very bright. What else do you need? :) When did the devs of this fine game come about with this idea? At the beginning of 2025. We were looking to make a hand-drawn game which would feature an endangered species, and koalas happen to be on top of our cuteness list as well.When will players be able to enjoy the company of koalas?2026. is the planned release - and it will not move. It will stay nice and cozy in this year and show its hairy head with big ears in 2026. So no stress, take it easy, koala-style.What to expect?Well, check out the game page, duh. We can actually share one additional bit of information - there will be a crowdfunding campaign soon packed with goodies to catch as well as a playtest, alpha demo. The game itself is a hidden-object type of game - for those unfamiliar with the genre, you need to find objects across multiple levels, and in this game those objects are koalas! So, point&click genre meets puzzle games. The game follows a unique story of koalas escaping imprisonment and searching for their new island home, with many obstacles along the way.How is this game different from other similar games?Everything is 100% hand drawn in the game. Same goes for the audio (music & sfx) - it is all original soundtrack. No graphics/audio packs downloaded or AI used for any part of the game. If there are mistakes in the game, they are OUR mistakes :) Same for programming, actually, if anyone cares.Next - the levels get colored, part by part as you find koalas on those level parts, like in a coloring book.
