Idle Defense strips tower defense down to its mathematical core: click or automate colored cube destruction across seven resource currencies, then reset via prestige to unlock permanent upgrades and perks. The deliberately abstract, minimalist aesthetic masks surprising depth in its progression systems and boss encounters, though the slow early game and sparse feedback may test patience. Best suited for players who enjoy abstract incremental mechanics and don't mind wrestling with its learning curve.

A pretty decent game. It's not exactly like a typical idle game, let alone a clicker, but a lot of mechanics are indeed borrowed from such games

It has a mathematical beauty to it but it's fairly slow to start. It's a bit confusing to play (read the rule hints in the config menu) but eventually I got it.

There's a lot of depth to things but it's a bit boring. Maybe there isn't enough juice (sound-wise and visually?)

If you like abstract incrementals give it a shot. It's hard to go wrong for the price.
