I enjoyed this one a lot. The only issue I have is that I didn't read a skill description carefully and ended up soft locking myself out of an achievement because I triggered the end game without unlocking the whole tree and it cannot be undone.
[EDIT] Completing the second path allowed me to replay the previous path and unlock everything without having to start a run from scratch so all is well.
Great little game! It has satisfying core gameplay loop, and after each round there is almost always something new to unlock in the skill tree. This gradually changes the gameplay, so doesn't get boring.
Great concept, satisfying mechanics, and a really cool art style! The idea of letters progressing and turning into enemies feels super fresh and clever. The companions are fun, the VFX are clean, and the upgrade tree is intuitive. Just cozy indie game to relax with in the evening or play on the go on the Steam Deck. Definitely recommended
