Harvest Seasons blends farming, city building, and idle mechanics into a resource loop where you gather crops, construct buildings, and reinvest gains into upgrades. The game features charming pixel art and satisfying automation elements, though players note it demands frequent clicking and has slowed development. Best suited for those who enjoy relaxed progression games with visual appeal, though the game's abandonment means outstanding bugs may persist.
About this game
Part farming game, party city building game, part idle/clicker game, Harvest Seasons is all about harvesting and growth. Gather up resources from your farmland and spend them on buildings and upgrading your city. And then upgrade your resources to get more. It's the circle of harvest!

Ahhhh this game is SO good, very addictive. i'm enjoying it greatly.
PROS: +Highly addictive clicker game +Lots of things to do +Very cute graphics +Lots of little touches added in, for instance, the buzzsaw on the sawmill goes "buzz buzz buzz" and it's adorable!
CONS: -The resolution is...not good. The font is VERY small and INCREDIBLY hard to read, everything is VERY small. There is no way to change the resolution currently. -The third worker is INCREDIBLY expensive, i know you're supposed to grind towards things but gosh is it expensive.
All in all i really do highly recommend this game, it's really good so far.
For as straightforward as the content is, it has a sneaky depth about it. The stylized artwork is incredibly cute yet functional. For what this game strives to be, it comes very close to doing an excellent job.
Close doesn't cut it, unfortunately.
The game has been abandoned, which means that some significant bugs will never be fixed. Some of these bugs are even potentially game-breaking, such as how buildings that have been upgraded too far will no longer produce their resource (though the animation for it still occurs).
If you still opt to install this game, understanding both what it tries to be (this genre is not for everyone) and its limitations, you will enjoy it, at least for a time. I do not regret the amount of time I invested in it. However, I have reached a point where playing has become more of a chore than the fun escape it once was. After it is uninstalled, all that will remain for me are some pleasant memories and dreams of what could have been.
EDIT: This game now seems to be ABANDONED (no updates in over a year), please do not waste your money on any DLC purchases.
Too much clicking, not enough idling. The progress is slow and the gains are low.
I really want to like this, I like the style, the artwork, the potential.
But the gameplay is just you constantly clicking all the time. When you do get to a point where you can unlock some idle, which takes long enough as it is, its gains are extremely poor in comparison to active play.
An update to hopefully add some quality to your lives. Hope your spring breaks were good! Now you can see how much time is left on a dungeon crawl from inside the Dungeon menu. Achievement list now in-game. Now you can see how many blueprints you have for a building from the construction menu. https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/31601281/63caa59266cc679c61a4dfa4195f4e3b478a9a41.png Thanks for playing! HOTFIX FRIDAY Pushed a fix that will hopefully fix the crash-at-launch issue a few people are having (we think it was related to something with a store file? It's a weird one that was referencing an item that doesn't actually exist.) HOTFIX MONDAY Pushed two fixes. The first one probably didn't fix the issue for many people, but after another day of digging around, we pushed another update later in the evening that should HOPEFULLY be fixing the major issue that people have been getting (it seemed to be related to Dungeon timers). If you're still getting a load crash, you should be getting a much more detailed error message that will help us track the issue down, though. But fingers crossed we were able to find the issue that people were getting.

Here's the update details: http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steamcommunity/public/images/clans/31601281/2872e922bb96e88ad89785af5764750cc965acb9.png Also: Request pop-ups appear no matter what, instead of disappearing when you can't afford a request. Please note that some of the balance changes won't take effect until the next time you prestige. For those with full-screen issues, hopefully the hotkey commands will be the way to at least get you back to a windowed version. Thanks for playing!
