I would give this game a "neutral" if the option existed, in the hopes it will be improved in the future.
Pro: I liked the halloween event, the legendary chooks were unique looking and I enjoyed acquiring them.
Currently, I feel the game needs a bit more work. It's a chicken collecting game, but there is no excitement collecting them.
All buildings exist to look "pretty" and add to the stats (food/water/happiness,etc) from which some points are deducted each time you hatch a new chicken, however, the chickens don't interact with them so you basically place and forget about them after maxing the upgrade level, and they don't change in appearance when upgrading either.
Now the chooks, given that "everything" else in the game boils down to making them, it's a huge flaw to not be able to do more with them or even make the player feel "nice" to get a different looking chook. Imagine any other monster collecting game you might have tried but with just 1 monster in different colors/patterns that you can't do anything with, it's what this game comes down to.
I would suggest a more detailed management on the chooks, such as:
- ability to sell them
- more distintive traits to the chooks, currently they are very interchangeable and that's a fatal flaw in any collection type game, where the thing being collected doesn't make the player look forward to having it.
- a more intricate breeding system, ie. certain buildings affect the type of chicken born (ties to the abovementioned trait system to make chooks more distinctive)
