One of my favorite games in this genre! It starts off with a simple premise, features intuitive gameplay that is fun for all ages, and keeps you guessing as to what will be unlocked next! I have yet to reach a point where I can no longer progress or improve on my empire’s resource production, total citizen count, and allied/indentured workforce size. Greatly looking forward to and anticipating future development in this series. Would enthusiastically purchase any DLCs or expansions that push this game beyond just the city walls of Amalur and into the realm of regional, continental, global, and intergalactic domination!

My reaction is kind of the opposite from others. It's nice to have an idle game that actually is beatable in a reasonable time for once. The game's not crazy deep, but the vast majority of all idle games are around exactly as deep as this one. The big difference here is that I don't have to pay to progress at a decent rate and also I don't have to play the game 80 hours to reach... nothing of significance. Idle games have been stagnant for ages now with 4-5 hours of gameplay being spread thin over the course of hundreds of hours with the goal of squeezing every penny out of you for the privilege of progressing at a decent rate, so having a $1.49 experience that actually gives you everything most other idlers do at 10-20x the speed with no pennypinching is a breath of fresh air. If anything, I think people accidentally realized that they just hate the current average idle game.
Nice little idle game, it takes just under 5 hours for steam achievement completion but does have other stuff you can unlock in game after that so you can continue. The music is relaxing if forgettable like most games in the genre. Nothing about the game is really stand out, new, or unique which can be said and there is nothing that really stands out negatively either. The game doesn't say it's in early access and the developer hasn't commented but it's probably safe to assume the game is complete, though the author did release additional content out of nowhere just a few months ago when people thought it was finished then. Overall for the price of $1.49 the game is a good way to kill a few hours while focusing on other things.
