About This Game

Beltmatic is a casual factory game where you combine numbers using mathematical operations.

This one is definitely better than Beltex. There's no more hexagonal grid, you can set belt priorities now, and there are even 2 buildings that perform new operations. Also, the start isn't as painfully slow. However, I was really hoping that the divider would allow me to create decimal numbers. I had a bunch of crazy ideas in my head, like a factory that calculates the square root of a number, or one that calculates the approximate value of pi or Euler's number. (Maybe these could even be used as late game levels, or in a challenge mode or something.)

Meh. It looked super fun and it was very engaging at first but once you unlock all the combinators it starts to feel very same-y. I was really hoping to unlock more types of numbers: negatives, fractions, decimals, maybe even complex numbers, but alas (spoiler? alert) you only ever produce ever-larger positive integers. It pretty much just becomes a loop of: break down the number into the sum of two large composites (ideally one is the last one you made) to add together, paste some arrays you already built, wire them in, start working on another number. The soundtrack is nice but again it gets a little repetitive after a while.

I saw this game on YouTube and thought it looked like a lot of fun. Surely I could do better than the guy on the screen. LoL, no! BUT, I'm still having a LOT of fun with it. Before I knew it, 5 hours had passed like it was nothing. I just unlocked the 9's and subtraction and WOW am I hooked. A friendly WARNING to anyone that wants to try it out. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, get curious about the size of the map and go scrolling along. You WILL literally get lost! I spent a solid 10 minutes trying to find my factory center. It was like drifting out into space, hoping you find your way back. To the developer: Can we please have a function or hot key that warps us back to the main hub? I can only imagine when my creation is so massive it takes forever to get back to center. Having a quicker way back would be great! Love the game! Keep up the great work! Edit: Apparently the Hotkey is 'H' The more you know! ^_^
