Interesting puzzle where you spin different shapes like in rubik's cube to make objects whole again. Presentation is nice and game makes you think very hard. Controls are not always the best and sometimes a bit confusing but nonetheless short and somewhat unusual puzzle solving.
What players are saying
A short, fun puzzle game that is based on solving puzzles to get cubes which you solve by rotating them. The game's menu option doesn't even worse on some levels and it is quite uncomfortable to play. It took me 30 minutes to finish and I can say it is quite fun. As of writing this review the "Is this very called array?" achievement is unobtainable. Edit: All achievements are now obtainable.
Positive: Free to play and easy to start ✔️ Unique 3D puzzle‑solving concept where you reconstruct puzzles using mechanics tied to scientific themes — interesting and mentally engaging. Atmospheric exploration and thoughtful challenges keep momentum steady. Works well with keyboard and controller. Negative: Very little narrative beyond puzzle progression — more mechanical than story‑driven. Some puzzles take time to understand and can feel repetitive. Not a long experience overall — concise content. 🏆 Completionists & Achievement Hunters: There are 8 Steam achievements linked to key moments, puzzle mastery, and milestone completions. Achievements focus on things like completing the game and solving specific challenges, and you can target them within a single play session without needing multiple separate runs. Overall: OCTAMETA 八方元识 is a solid free puzzle experience with a distinctive blend of 3D mechanics and thoughtful design. It’s not a huge game, but if you enjoy exploratory puzzles with a mental twist and want a relatively quick run with achievable achievements, it’s worth trying.
