About This Game

Face waves of enemies automatically and create builds by distributing stat points, leveling up equipment, choosing passive skills, summons and more. An idle game about killing hordes of enemies, becoming stronger, and exploring an unfolding storyline. A spin-off of Nomad Survival.

Game feels half baked like they made a successful demo then copy pasted it 4 times afterwords for a easy cash grab. The story stops almost instantly and becomes copied 7 times so each character has the exact same thing. The balance is wonky as hell where you HAVE to farm out everything that at first appears optional just to progress since the skill tree stops almost instantly and so do pet choices. Over half of my play time was trying to get the achievement to max all equipment and the game had ended 80 hours before that. Avoid if you want something you wont reach the end of the good part of in 2 hours.

Echoing another review, but with a bit more distaste since the developer left a snide comment in return. Game seems fun at first, the text effects in quests are neat, and then the novelty wears off, and it becomes really repetitive and boring, culminating into an ultimate snoozefest of maxing out every piece of equipment, i.e. leaving the game running in the background on the highest level you can farm certain materials until you can click each item 70 more times. There are different characters, but it doesn't really matter. Before the "balance update", regardless of character, you just picked the poison relic, upgraded DOT stats, and until it was a good time to ascend. After the update, since your broken build is no longer broken, you had an opportunity to randomly try things out, until you find out you can just use the first pet, pick skills that proc bleed, and level the stats that scale the proc rate for even better effect. You don't even need to level the actual skills, just leave em at level 1 since you just need em to proc. You get inherently strong enough via leveling your equipment you don't need to change anything. Sure, you could play differently, but why? The game doesn't incentivize it all, and as mentioned by other commenters, "refining your build" is tedious and haphazard; you respec and/or select up to 4 different skills to match (or vice-versa), and maybe pick a different pet/trinket combo. You keep doing this until you find out nothing really outscales the last build. For me, bleed was the strongest and simplest to do. Maybe I didn't try enough combinations. In any case, it didn't matter, it was much less effort to just keep doing the same thing. And let's say bleed wasn't broken, or maybe I didn't find the optimal build. Still, you'd do the same thing, find what scales the best and stick with it, and just keep waiting until you have enough gold to improve the scaling. I can't imagine most people spending more than an hour on this at best. There aren't enough hurdles or rewards or any kind of meaningful reasons in the game (one might argue there are no reasons at all) to inspire you to continue to tinker with your build after you find the one that works. As I mentioned earlier, at a certain point, it seems like your build doesn't even matter anymore once you get enough equipment levels, so in the end, all your experimentation is irrelevant. Finally, once you figure out what works, and beat the majority of the game, then all that's left is to max equipment/beat the last level with every character. And by that point there is still no reason to do anything differently. I just left the game on in the background while I worked and came back to spam click equipment icons or switch maps. This took so ridiculously long that it alone would be a sole reason for a negative review. It has the bonus effect of rendering your build choices moot after once you get enough equipment levels, and once you sit through the slog of maxing equipment, the last level is a joke; you ascend, switch levels, and max a stat or two to speed it up a few seconds. I could maybe have been more efficient, but there was no reason to be. If it wasn't for the braindead achievements, I would have stopped playing many hours ago, but hey, a nearly effortless 100% completion is a nearly effortless 100% completion. TL;DR if you want a simple game to 100% while hardly engaging with it at all, then by all means, play this. If you want something to actually entertain you, then play something else. It's an idle game, but one that you eventually get tired of waiting to end.
