Loot Loop pairs classic RPG aesthetics with a streamlined idle loop where you recruit heroes, send them through dungeons, and collect loot to unlock skill tree upgrades. A single prestige reset doubles your power to tackle the same scenarios faster, creating a brief loop designed to be completed in a few hours. It's best suited for players seeking a low-friction, dopamine-focused experience rather than deep strategic complexity.

Its a cute game at first but way too short and upgrades are way too expensive .. Frankly honest, if the meaningful upgrades had reasonable prices - you could probably finish the game under 1 hour rather than farm the same content over and over till you get them ...
Also the fact that you are FORCED to presitge to unlock the final map, then when you do the game become a complete joke till you get to the final map .. like why even bother? a total waste of time, just give the bonuses than progress block, make me go through everything all over again for 30m in order to continue at EXACTLY the same spot with EXACTLY the same upgrades. That's not how prestige work, that's a cheap design to waste time.
I don't do it normally but I am pretty sure the game was balanced in a way to make sure you can't complete it under 2 hours to avoid a refund and that's it- which is a shame because it had potential.
I have 2.4h on record as writing this review, keep in mind I took a shower while the game was on - do what you will with its value.
I give it negative purely on the fact it is too obvious the game forecfully try to waste your time rather than add few more monsters/content to get to the 2h mark.
The gameplay is fun initially but it is just way too short. After your first prestige you think "nice, now comes the crazy scaling" but then it justs ends after one level, mabye 20 minutes later. Overall it took me only 2 hours and left me with an unsatisfying "thats it?".
Too short, only 6 scenarios, then you "Prestige" once to get "100% buff on everything", and repeat the same 6 scenarios, but even faster. Also boring. My eyes were closing all the time. I finished it because I wanted to see if it unfolds anything else, but no. Very small tree, and very little Perks. This looks more like a Demo than a final game. It´s not worth 4,99€. Maximum 1.99€. I can't recommend it.
82,000 people have played Loot Loop. That let me go back to working on it full time, so thank you.Patch 1.1, out today:Install size cut in half, 564 MB down to ~280 MBExtra levels on the mage's attack upgrade, so you can grind for more damage if the final boss is giving you troubleBoss coins no longer fly off-screen where you can't grab themRuns no longer count as wins if your party diesA bunch of smaller fixesWhat's next:Patch 1.2, the healer rework. The thing I hear about most, and you're right. I'm testing a few options, right now I'm leaning toward letting auras run at the same time instead of competing for one slot, so unlocking a new one always makes him better. Aiming for SeptemberPatch 1.3, controller support and Steam Deck VerifiedPatch 1.4, the big one. Two new maps, two new prestige layers, new bosses and mechanics, around an hour more gameKeep the suggestions coming in the discussions. Most of what's in the game came from players, and I read all of it. ❤️
As a solo dev, I am honestly speechless and I do not even know what to say. I never expected such an incredible and warm reception for my game! This has completely blown past my wildest expectations.Your support means the world to meI want to thank every single person from the bottom of my heart who took the time to leave a kind comment and show their support. Every time I read your words, it truly warms my heart. I absolutely love seeing how much fun you are having with the game. What comes next?I have some ideas for new content for Loot Loopi! I am still figuring out the exact approach to take, but I will do my best to deliver an update later this year. On top of that, I am also brainstorming my next game, though it is still in the very early stages. Maybe the heroes will finally need to take a well deserved rest in a tavern? Who knows :)
