A new version of Magic Research 2, version 1.6.3, is now out for everyone. This is a medium-sized update with mostly a lot of UI changes and improvements, with the goal of trying to reduce friction while playing the game. Full patch notes below. Hi! Our first drop is now out! It features a lot of new ducks our artists designed. What will be the next update? Next update will probably be a smaller one that will feature a craft event. Players will be able to obtain some craft-only ducks for a limited time! What's next in the future? Next we plan a big overhaul of the game. That also involves changing the game engine because we feel like Unity is limiting our design. As we said. We want there to be more to the game than just clicking and that is why we will be taking the whole game to Unreal Engine 5 as soon as possible, so there is less to port than in a couple of months. What about the performance? We will ensure that the performance will stay as good as possible, but the game will probably be a little more demanding than previously. In our opinion this is a good trade off. We get a lot more features to play with and can ensure the longevity of the game, and at the same time, sacrificing little to nothing. Is this an "NFT scam"? We get this comment a lot. Our reviews balance around Mostly Negative to Mixed. This truly breaks our hearts and the team thinks we should've waited with the release longer, so there would be more unique features. The game is out now though, so there is nothing we can do apart from apologize to those who expected more and ask to wait a little longer. As we said multiple times. Changes: Clickable Apple Skins can now be changed via the Skin Menu. All you have to do is open the skin menu, write the exact name of the apple to the text bar, and hit the Change button to change the skin. Added 1 Steam Key to the news messages it has a 1/12500 chance to appear for every news message. The Steam key contains random Steam Game. If you are the first one to see and claim it then notify us on our Discord Server so I can put in a new key. The game has been optimized. Added FPS chooser. Now you can choose the fps you want to play to increase performance or the quality. Added sound effect to opening a crate. One of the news messages was incorrect, but it was fixed with the right one. Fixed an issue where the timer was counting down in the negatives, if you experienced this issue your timers should not be properly reset and you should start getting drops. If any bugs still persist, please post them on our discord or steam community hub. Happy Clicking!
