v1.1.0 — The Crucible Update

The player feedback was clear! The Reset and Reforge prestige system needed some rework, it rewarded frequent low round reforges and lacked any strategic depth. So I spent a couple of days noodling on it and implemented a new framework which can be extended if it looks like I'm heading in the right direction, or adapted if I'm not.New Feature: Ship SelectionBefore each run you choose a ship based on your play style. Ships progressively unlock based on your Pilot Title, which reflects your overall progression through the game.Each ship has a distinct silhouette, a stat bonus, and a trade-off.Reforge ReworkReforging is now meaningfully more rewarding the further you push.The round-based reforge bonus now scales exponentially with each round. Round 50 gives massive bonus while early rounds give almost nothing. Grinding short runs for easy reforges no longer pays off.New: Reforge TokensTokens can now be earned. You need to reach at least round 15 on level 1 to earn your first token — higher rounds and levels yield more. Spend them in the CrucibleNew: The CrucibleAfter every run you now visit the Crucible — an upgrade tree where you spend Reforge Tokens on permanent bonuses that carry into every future run.Three tracks, each with three tiers:Momentum — Accelerate your early gameIgnition — First 5 rounds: all points +25%Pre-Armed — Start each run with 5 random first-level upgrades already unlockedAncestral Cache — Convert 1% of your last run's score into starting points Resilience — Survive longer Hardened — Hull damage reduced Combat Recovery — Restore some hull at the start of each round Crisis Protocol — About to die? Patch #2 (Hot-Fix #6)

Eldara — Update v0.1.1 (June 18, 2026) -- This update had a lot of edited/removed code so if a few bugs persist, please be patient... we're taking care of them! This update lands a critical save-recovery fix plus a faction rework, thieving passives, and a pile of polish. Scroll to the bottom for a full catch-up of everything that's landed recently — Steam hasn't had patch notes until now, so this is the lot. 🛟 Critical Save Fix Restore Backup now works. Picking a backup snapshot used to reload your CURRENT save instead of the backup — the cloud sync was overwriting the restore on reload. Rolling back now restores exactly the snapshot you choose. Gear sets guarded against wipes — your saved gear presets can no longer be blanked out, closing a rare "my gear vanished" cause. ⚔️ Factions Reworked You may still swear the oath to only one faction — but that's now the only restriction. Perks are earned per-faction by reputation and they stack: keep your standing high with more than one House and you get all their perks at once. Helping one faction still nudges the others down, so spreading your loyalty is a balancing act — not a hard lock. No more estrangement, no "the others turn their backs." 🗡️ Thieving Passives Thieving now has a full 6-tier passive ladder (Lv 15 / 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 95): faster steals, lower catch chance, fewer guard hits, more loot, and a 10% chance to double an entire heist at Lv 95. 🌿 Cultivating Processing tab: material counts update instantly, and brew time now correctly reflects Ancient Surge and other speed bonuses. ✨ Other Changes Silver Ring is now craftable in the Crafting tab for 3 silver ingots (early-game ring). Refining gear now adds to its sell value — sell a refined piece and recover some of the invested gold. World Boss "Echoes Remembered" counter now ticks up with boss kills. A data bug in how job skill-requirements were read left roughly 20 advanced jobs effectively locked. This is now fixed — you can switch into them properly once you meet the requirements. We're truly sorry to those who were training adventurers toward these jobs.⚔ JobsThe Encyclopedia "Jobs" tab now shows each job's requirements (stats, weapon mastery, affix proficiency, required skills), so you can see what to aim for. (A job's name and effect are revealed once an adventurer actually takes it.)Added the missing skill/affix data so every job can be reached.Cleaned up how job effects are shown — labels that didn't reflect reality (e.g. a nonexistent "MP") now show the actual effect (e.g. Skill Rate). Over the last few years, conversations about AI have become impossible to avoid.Some people see it as the future. Others see it as a threat. Most discussions focus on what AI can do.We find ourselves asking a different question:What happens when people stop questioning systems simply because they are convenient?As game developers, we're fascinated by the relationship between technology and trust. Not because technology is inherently good or bad, but because people tend to accept systems they don't fully understand as long as those systems appear to work.That idea eventually became the foundation of a project we're currently working on: Future Sauce Dispenser.Future Sauce Dispenser is a dystopian satire set in the year 2145. In this world, humanity has become dependent on automated systems to the point where people can no longer function without AI-approved sauce. What begins as an absurd joke quickly turns into a commentary on dependency, automation, convenience, and the gradual erosion of critical thinking.One question we've already received is why some visuals, text, and trailer elements intentionally use AI-generated content.The answer is simple:Because imperfection is part of the message.The world of Future Sauce Dispenser is built around systems that are trusted despite being flawed.
