Fixed the bug causing disordered entries. Fixed the bug caused by plot expansion. Fixed the bug where the damage value switch was ineffective.
Fixed: on Windows with animation effects turned off, the game started up frozen. Nothing moved, and Stray Signals sat in the middle of the screen instead of drifting past. Reduced motion is now controlled from Settings only. If you want it on, that's where it lives. Sorry to anyone who hit this on day one.
August 26–27, 2026 Tower Ascension 🟠 Added three Ascension Module slots, unlocked at Tower 30, Tower 40, and Tower 50. 🟠 Ascension Modules provide permanent combat bonuses: - Crown Assault: +4% Damage. - Bastion Lattice: 4% less damage taken. - Quickstep Circuit: +8% Haste. 🟠 Each Module can be equipped only once. Module selections are saved and correctly applied during combat. 🟠 Added a complete Tower Gems collection to Gem Crafting. It shows all eight special Gems, their unlock requirements, Forge paths, and how many you own across Inventory, Bank, and equipped gear. 🟠 Renamed Eclipsed Emerald and Crown Emerald to Eclipsed Sapphire and Crown Sapphire, with corrected artwork and descriptions. Existing Gems, stats, ownership, and saves remain unchanged. 🟠 Clarified the Tower Codex: each 100-floor Echelon locks one of the four Tower hazards for that Echelon. The Frontier 🟠 Added an All Permanent Frontier Stats summary to the Progress panel. 🟠 The summary combines permanent mastery bonuses from every completed Region while clearly excluding temporary stats from equipped Region Seals. Divine Equipment and Salvaging 🟠 Divine equipment can now be salvaged for useful endgame materials. 🟠 Salvaging Divine equipment grants: - 1 Aberration Shard. - 100 Aether. - 1 Divine Honing Stone for every two Honing ranks on the item, rounded down. 🟠 Salvage previews now display localized material names instead of internal item identifiers. Academy 🟠 Greatly reduced the excessive Mana Well upgrade costs from Tier 16 through Tier 20. These tiers now scale directly from Tier 15 at a controlled 25% increase per tier. 🟠 Players who already paid the previous Mana Well costs automatically receive the difference back in Gold, Eternal Bars, and Eternal Planks. 🟠 Refunds cover completed upgrades, an upgrade currently under construction, and upgrades waiting in the construction queue. 🟠 Mana Well compensation is shared account-wide, delivered across Inventory and Bank, and safely resumes later if...

An update for anyone waiting on the remaining DLC.Five DLC are on sale now. The other four - Speed Boost, Higher-Tier Equipment Drop Rate Up, Material Drop Rate Up and Talent Coin Pack I - were sent back during store page review and are currently being re-reviewed.The cause was artwork we had set on those DLC store pages, which did not meet Steam's guidelines. We have removed the images in question and resubmitted on August 27. Nothing was wrong with the game itself or with what the DLC do.Review normally takes three to five business days. Each one will go on sale as soon as it clears. We originally announced August 20, so this is well behind schedule, and we are sorry to keep you waiting. The base game remains free. You can play through to the end without any DLC, so nothing is blocked while these four are pending. For feedback and bug reports, please use the "FAQ & Request" thread on the discussion board, or X.com.

Consumables: healing now comes in gradually Consumables no longer heal all at once. Each one spreads its healing over five seconds, so when you start eating matters now, not just how much you are carrying While one is regenerating, no second unit of that same type is eaten. When it runs out, if you still need it, the next one goes in on its own Nothing is wasted, same as before: a consumable is not touched unless its full healing fits in the health you are missing Current action window New button on the room panel. It opens a window with what the character is doing right now: how far along it is, how much is left and which skill it is training For that skill you get the total multiplier, the Learned and Innate bars with their level, and how much it has gone up since the previous rebirth Speedrun, action by action Each room in the Speedrun panel now expands and shows what was done inside it, action by action, with the previous life next to it for comparison Repeatable actions count runs; one-off actions show whether they were finished, left halfway or never touched, and how many percentage points were gained or lost against the previous life Chapters fold and unfold by hand, so you can look inside one this life has not reached yet Trials Timed actions accept an attempt limit. If the clock runs out that many times, the action leaves the queue and the character carries on with whatever comes next instead of retrying until it dies. Left blank it behaves as it always did Interface Pencil button on the queue: the repetition boxes only show up when you turn it on Small visual touch-ups across several panels
The save system has had a major reliability update, particularly around unexpected shutdowns, crashes and power loss. Save ImprovementsSave files are now written and backed up more safely, reducing the chance of both the current save and its backup being damaged at the same time.If damaged save data is detected, Pocket Dinos will now automatically attempt to recover it from a previous backup.Corrupted files are preserved rather than immediately overwritten, giving us a better chance of manually recovering data if automatic recovery fails. If dinos data cannot be recovered, the rest of the save will now be preserved rather than potentially losing access to the entire session.Players will now be notified when save recovery has occurred, and recovery logs are created to make investigating any future issues much easier.A support option has been added to Settings to make locating save data easier if files need to be sent in for recovery. This cannot completely eliminate the possibility of corruption from things such as sudden power loss, but it should make Pocket Dinos significantly more resilient and, importantly, give both the game and us more options to recover data when something does go wrong. Thank you to those who submitted bug reports and went through the process of manually fixing these issues. Bug Fixes and AdjustmentsFixed application focus and unfocus (blocked Esc key from bringing up Main Menu)Potentially stopped some dinos becoming really skinny on edges when flipping directionStopped multiple audio files playing when adding multiple eggsAdded icon for Dino StatsCleaned up missing sound and visuals from Multiselect in Dino StatsAs always, if you notice anything odd, please let me know. Have a great week!
The universe has gone quiet. You have a transmitter, a logbook, and however long it takes. CQ: Calling Any Station is out now — an idle/incremental game you can play by hand or leave running. Key the transmitter and ride the Tempo, or walk away and let Clear Channel work the bands while you're gone. Build the station up from a scavenged oscillator to a pulsar array, chase distant contacts across six bands, and decode what's transmitting back, one fragment at a time. 15% off for the first week. Windows and Linux. Key CQ. Somebody might be listening.

This is kind of an emergency patch. Some of you paired the Forgotten Stairs with the Wood Elf passive (5% chance for a stair) and a few other passives in module 2, and managed to finish in under ten minutes, with a record of three. Turns out the Forgotten Stairs at that frequency were pretty overpowered. I would have caught it sooner, but nobody liked the Forgotten Stairs back in 1.6.0 to 1.6.1 :C While I am at it, I am also fixing a bad speed variable I forgot to change before release. On the bright side, it is nice that you are trying builds and different approaches. At least I know someone is really playing Lowmoor. Good luck, and please stop forcing me into more hotfixes. I had a tooth pulled today and the doctor ordered rest xD Balance · One Forgotten Stair a floor, however many the road turns up. · A stair credits a tenth of the floor, was a third. · Wood Elf: 0.25% a road leg finds the stair, was 5%. · The Road Made Short: 0.1%, was 0.5%. · Vane still doubles the chance. · Prestige Speed: 7% -> 4%. (It was 4% in 1.5.x, I forgot to set it back to 4% after some of my testing.) Fixes · The cave-shrike, road-mole, magpie and mist-hare ate nothing and never grew. · Pets already on your Roll start growing from the next stroke, leg or chest. · A pet's door now opens the moment it is earned, instead of at the next kill. · A fully grown mist-hare shows a full bar at its tenth growth, which is its cap. · A fast chronicle spent seconds on road legs and earned almost no descent for them. Everything runs twice as fast as it did in v1.6.0. Over the same twelve hours from the same starting Roll, a mid Fighter now reaches floor 13.8 where v1.6.1 only reached 7.7, and rests that were charging you whole minutes now charge you seconds. What went wrongYou told me the descent crawled after v1.6.0 and that gold had collapsed, so I wrote a probe and ran v1.5.2, v1.6.1 and this build over the same twelve hours from the same Roll. You were right. Two numbers caused most of it, and neither ever made it into a patch note. The world pace had been halved (5 down to 2.5), which slows everything below it, and the prestige Speed bonus was cut at the same time (4% down to 2% a point, plus the Guildhouse Bell from 0.8% to 0.4%). Those stack, so a Roll with a hundred points of Speed was running at about a third of its old rate before any new system was even added. Both are fixed here. The rest system was the other big drain, eating 9% of your clock while paying nothing back, and its slowest steps were fixed in real seconds. Putting the world speed back would have doubled their cost instead of cutting it, so I reworked the whole ladder. A game that plays itself should never charge you real time, and the new version is under "New and changed" below. The numbers, twelve hours, same start Depth: 7.7 -> 13.8 floors. v1.5.2 reached 13.1. Beasts killed: 2,300 -> 9,491. Gold earned: 752k -> 6.57M. Trips spent selling: 1,384 -> 443. Rest, share of your clock: 9.0% -> 3.7%. If you have a deep Roll, read thisDepth is back, but the old giant gold numbers are not, and you deserve to hear that from me rather than find it yourself. Across six chronicles measured against v1.5.2 over the same twelve hours, depth now runs at 92 to 111% of what v1.5.2 reached, and a new or middling Roll goes deeper than v1.5.2 ever did. Gold runs at 12 to 63%. A deep veteran Roll used to earn 358M to 749M in twelve hours before v1.6.0, but those figures came off the old unbounded stat sheet that the d20 reb...
