New Player Tutorial/Goals UpdateToday we have launched an overhaul to the tutorial system with the goal of helping new players navigate the game's various systems. Instead of the tutorials mostly being a screen takeover that point the player to various menus and aspects of the game all at once, they now take the form of a series of short goals, each one tackling a single aspect and providing a more guided experience.This culminates in the introduction to the item enhancement system, which is where the bulk of the strategy and planning takes place in the game. The new goals system will provide the player with the resources and direction to interact with item enhancement much earlier, no longer being gated behind hitting certain levels. Players can tackle the goals as slowly or as quickly as they want.UI UpdatesWe've added more controls to the game related to Marketplace items, allowing quicker removal/decompiling. Additionally some of the alternative themes have had fixes to their readability. Syndicates also now display the join dates for each member.The mobile version of the game (accessible by any mobile browser at https://www.idlehacking.com) now has full integration with the new player tutorial system, further bringing the mobile experience to parity with the full desktop client/browser experience.Item Enhancement now has more visual feedback when performing Version Upgrades, making it clear when an attempt succeeds, fails, or fails but doesn't consume stability thanks to the Snapshot Backup Homelab upgrade.

Patch 1.3: Dutch and Midsummer

Hello CivIdlers! I am happy to present to you Patch 1.3. This content patch is rather unique: it was not planned, as I am busy working on my upcoming game Restitutor (more on that later). What's New New Feature: Divinities Summon powerful Divinities by sacrificing a set of pets and their cards. The first Divinity, Zarethion, The God-Scaled, has been added. Level up Divinities using Trial Marks specific to each Trial. Example: Zarethion uses the Mark of Veyloris, which drops from enemies in the Trial of Veyloris. Divinities have a total of 9 ranks. Currently, the first 5 ranks (starting from Angel) can be upgraded. New Feature: Mausoleum Sacrificed pets are converted into Vestiges with their own levels and ranks. Vestiges multiply Relic stats based on their level and rank. Vestiges have 6 ranks and a maximum level of 1000. New Feature: Celestium Summoned Divinities enter their own Trial Towers in Celestium. Climb floors, defeat enemies, collect loot, and gain Favour towards the tower Archons. The first Trial, Trial of the Archon Veyloris, Starweaver, has been added. This Trial has a maximum of 2400 floors. Floors are unlocked based on your Transcendence level. 59 new enemies and 19 new bosses added to Celestium. Celestium enemies do not drop pet cards. Your Main Hero and party continue fighting on Campaign/Incursion maps while your Divinity climbs the Trials. Celestium enemies can roll affixes (including affix rarity) that modify their stats and behavior. Affixes are displayed on the enemy spawn card. Added Max Paragon Level to the Profile window. Every 200 Celestium Trial floors cleared increases the maximum Paragon Level by 1. New Feature: Relics A new item system. Equip Relics in the Mausoleum Relic Chamber. Relics can roll with: Random rarity (slightly increases with floor). Random affixes (slightly increases with floor). Random suffixes (slightly increases with floor). Relic tier, dropped floor, and modifiers can be upgraded or changed using Relic Fragments obtained by destroying Relics. Relic tiers are also based on the floor where they drop. Update v1.1.2 - Bug Fixes

Localization Fixed Chinese text sometimes rendering as boxes on first launch. Improved CJK font fallback initialization for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Upgrade Tree Fixed the upgrade tree camera resetting to default zoom/position after returning from a run. Tutorials Fixed the Synthetic Digestion tutorial popup appearing repeatedly in some cases. Gameplay Improved Mooch click detection so parasites should no longer feel immune to clicks when visibly hittable. Just One More Link now unlocks when claiming a valid chain within the final 0.5 seconds of a run. Unfortunate Greed now unlocks when a run ends with 0 ZEK earned after breaking a chain. Previously, both achievements had incorrect hidden trigger conditions that did not match their Steam descriptions. Thanks for the bug reports and for helping track these down.
