This update gives you more control over your save data and makes it clearer how the game protects your progress. Manual Save Slot The Save Backups section on your Profile page has a dedicated Manual Save slot. Use Save Now whenever you want to create a personal checkpoint. Manual saves are never overwritten automatically Separate from the three rotating automatic backup slots Can be restored the same way as other backups Includes a short cooldown to prevent accidental spam Save Reminder If you have not made a manual save in over an hour, a pulsing Save button will appear in the top header as a reminder. Click it to save, and the reminder will clear. Backup Rotation Automatic backups now rotate once per session when you close the game, instead of rotating on every auto-save tick. This means your backup slots should now show more useful points in time instead of several near-identical saves from the same session. Offline Mode Notice If the game starts without a connection to Steam Cloud, such as when Steam is not running, the Save Backups panel will now show a clear notice explaining why backups cannot be restored. Restore buttons will appear grayed out until Steam Cloud is available again. Your local save still works normally while offline. I forgot to add an indicator for the combat XP bonus. Fixed! The Combat and Dungeon pages now display a green XP bonus badge in the top-right of the header, right next to your level. The badge shows your total bonus at a glance (e.g. +35%) Hover the badge to see a full breakdown of every active bonus: Housing - bonus from your current dwelling tier Rebirth - bonus accumulated from past lives Active Buff - bonus from potions (Scholar's Draught, beer, etc.) Meditation - bonus from a matching Meditation focus Works on both the overworld Combat page and inside active Dungeon runs The numbers shown are exactly what the game is applying - no guesswork If you have no bonuses active the tooltip will say so, so you can see at a glance whether it is worth drinking a potion or setting a Meditation focus before grinding. -- Visseron Games

A small but important patch today fixing four bugs that have been affecting players. Thanks to everyone who reported these on Discord and the forums! Bug Fixes Essence Siphoning Now Available to All Classes Essence Siphoning tasks in the Salvaging skill were only visible to Weavebreaker and Empath. This meant that Phaseblade, Channeler, Aetherborn, and Mercantile had no way to gather essences - and therefore no way to craft Familiar Treats for their pets. All nine siphoning tasks are now available to every class. Socketed Gems No Longer Lost on Rebirth If you unequipped a ring or amulet so it would be protected by the Warehouse during rebirth, the gems socketed inside it were being silently wiped - even though the jewelry itself survived. This was a painful loss for players who had inscribed or altered gems slotted into their protected jewelry. Gems now correctly travel with their jewelry through rebirth. Protect the ring or amulet, and its gems come with it. Combat XP Now Scales with All Your Bonuses Housing upgrades, rebirth XP bonuses, beer buffs, and meditation focuses were not applying to combat XP. This affected both open-world monster kills and dungeon fights - your combat skill was leveling much slower than it should have been. Monster kills and dungeon XP now use the same full bonus stack that skilling tasks have always used. Commerce Run Quests No Longer Get Stuck "Earn X gold" Commerce Run quests could get stuck with a green checkmark but never actually complete. This happened when another quest's gold reward was the last bit of gold needed to push the Commerce Run quest over its threshold - the gold counted internally, but the quest didn't close out. This is now fixed. Hotfixes Fix: items could appear twice in inventory after a run on Steam — caused by a server-side race where two cleanup paths both persisted the same loot. Thanks propandaplays for reporting. Fix: tempering a dagger's flat elemental damage attribute rolled in a much lower range than the original. Now uses the same range as when the dagger was generated or reforged (item level to 2× item level). Fix: rarely, using a Picky Scroll and immediately starting a run consumed the scroll without applying the filter — normal/common items kept dropping. Thanks Astreavan, categenov, and others for reporting. Perf: lightened the Nightmare fight visual effects (smaller glow, fewer particles) to reduce CPU usage during the fight on PC. Thanks Ok-Championship444 for reporting. Fix: rare race after starting a run where the enemy sprite was briefly missing and the HP bar visibly flickered 100→0→100→0 on each hit. Caused by the two server backends occasionally both emitting fight events for the same player after a network hiccup. Fight events now carry a run ID so the client ignores leftovers from a stale loop. Fix: crash on launch on Android 9–10 devices (Samsung Galaxy Tab A, Redmi, Evertek, and others). Caused by a display-cutout setting that only exists on Android 12+. Behind the Scenes More balance values now sync from the server to the client, so future tweaks land without needing a client update. Balance — Resistance Softcap (Season 1 Prep) Reintroduced a meaningful softcap on per-element resistance. The existing guardrails — Verdant Woods drops capped at tier 1-7 (vs 3-10 in tougher areas), the 99% hard cap on effective resistance, and the auto-generated weakness to other elements when stacking physical resistance — weren't enough on their own to stop specialized phys-resistance builds from running away with both PvE and PvP. Hi Land Drifters!You can now show all items you do not have in the vault. The game will now remember which panel you locked it on between game sessions, so you can keep it on Overview or whatever you prefer. Welcome back, it's Galactic Overthrow patch day! Along with that, a version bump to 1.1.There have been a lot of changes over the last few weeks while reacting to launch issues and feedback (thanks again for all of the reports!), and I'm bringing in a few new features and updates today. Because of this there's also been a version change to save files, prompting an update in version.A note on the save files: When you launch the game your previous save will have a warning telling you that the game is saved on an old version and may be unstable. You can still play and there should be no crashes, but some of the advanced techs changed position and so there might be some weirdness with techs in that section. After a successful galaxy jump your save will be back to normal, or you can start over and get a few more of the new changes that have been added. Either way, I don't expect it to break in any horrible ways...Additional Difficulty ModeI've added "Extreme" to the difficulty selector. Right now both Challenge and Extreme modes likely still need a little balance tweaking, but adding a second option will give me more leeway to make both combinations of settings engaging for the players looking for that level of challenge. With just the one challenging option there just wasn't enough room for me to tweak some of the values to keep it challenging without being punishing. The end goal for the Extreme setting is to be a bit punishing and more difficult for progress unless you're very optimized (or lucky). Let me know if you try it and how much trouble some of the later jumps give you. 🛠️ Hotfix — Awakening Coin Accrual Fix & QoL Improvements Hello, this is the developer. In today's update, multiple reports came in from live that Awakening Coins (stars) weren't accruing properly. A hotfix has just been applied. Apologies for the inconvenience. If you have Re:Blade installed, the update downloads automatically — just restart the game. ✅ Main Fixes ▶ Awakening Coin accrual bug fixed In environments where loading takes a bit longer, the Awakening Coin system wasn't connecting properly, so stars weren't accruing even as your Awakening Level went up. This has been fixed. ※ Automatic compensation for accumulated Awakening Levels If you already have accumulated Awakening Levels, on your first launch after the patch, stars will be auto-granted in bulk to match the accumulated Awakening Level of every weapon. No manual action or compensation request needed. ▶ Missing translations fixed Some of the new Awakening effects had missing translation text in certain languages.
