Version 0.6.0 Update: Expanded Faction Storylines for Current Chapters

Hello everyone!A Schoolhouse in Gensokyo has now been updated to Version 0.6.0. While this update may not contain a large number of individual changes, it marks an important version milestone for us.With this update, the faction / regional storylines for the currently implemented chapters have now been substantially expanded and completed.From Version 0.5.7 to 0.6.0, the main updates include:Added new influence level missions and rewards for Scarlet Devil Mansion, Bamboo Forest of the Lost, and the Eastern Suburbs of the Human VillageAdded Cirno’s character side storyMade major progress on the English translation. Some text embedded in images is still untranslated, and some English lines may still cause display issues due to their length, but the main text translation is now around 90% completeUpdated several art assetsFixed several minor bugs and adjusted some values to improve the overall experienceThis is a major version update. Existing save data can still be loaded and played, but for the best pacing and overall experience, we recommend starting a new game.Also, our circle will be attending Hakurei Jinja Reitaisai in Tokyo on May 4, 2026. Did some optimization to fix lag problems in the global upgrades and tower upgrades In hard mode mega and ultra boss skill tree upgrade max level has been changed from 5000 to 10000. Hi all,Version number leap time! I was slated to finish this by May 15th. Really dates I put on myself to self-motivate and hold myself accountable. As it turns out, I am done with what I wanted to accomplish. I don't think anyone will complain about me getting these updates out faster than schedule, right?The Stats Update accomplishes a main goal of mine: pull the Steam Stats and Steam Achievements in-game with a stats menu and badge system. I knew along with that I needed a main menu refresh to make everything fit so I took some time working on the menus and sprucing them up. Patch Notes 5/2/2026

From Embers — v0.1.1 Patch Notes We saw the recent feedback. Some of it stung, but it was right. This update is the response. Performance overhaul "Too much lag from memory leaks or the fact that it is trying to keep track of every single bush, tree, mob, person, etc." You were right that late-game lag was the biggest problem. The whole render and simulation loop got a top-to-bottom pass: Foliage rendering rewritten. Trees and bushes now share a single GPU draw per type instead of one per sprite — about 1,100 draw calls down to ~16 in a built-up settlement. ShaderMaterial count went from ~200 to ~4. Per-tick scans gutted. Worker average bonuses, weather modifiers, and effect recalculations are now cached and only refresh when something actually changes — no more redundant 80-villager sweeps every frame on culture/festival transitions. Creature & spawn logic cached. Animal and monster spawn cells are computed once per wave instead of every spawn attempt. "There is infinite amounts of every resource and it still tries to keep track of how much wood is left on every tree or how many berries are on every bush, when all that is completely unnecessary since nothing is ever destroyed." Trees and berry bushes do still deplete and respawn — that's intentional — but we agree the scan was wasteful. The per-tick cost is now bounded by what's actually depleted (typically zero to a couple dozen nodes), not the placed-node count. A full forest at full health now costs nothing to "track" each frame. Map size "A huge land mass when you only use maybe 15% of it." Map shrunk from 70×40 to 50×30 — about 46% fewer cells. Existing saves auto-migrate; if any of your buildings were placed past the new edge, they're relocated near your campfire on first load (any visual overlap can be fixed by demolish-and-rebuild). Other fixes Hardy / Frail / Hardened ancestral traits now correctly update max HP when inherited at the start of a prestige run. Previously these traits would carry over but lea...

Patch 0.1.5.2 Card-Hand UI Overhaul New UI: Card-Hand Navigation The old hamburger dropdown menu has been replaced with a brand-new card-hand system at the bottom of the screen. The Vial popups on each rat click are now more separated, also I finally added an "Exit Game" button at the bottom of the settings panel... Bug Fixes: - The Buy Max button wasn't actively applying effects for Lab Assistant & Brain Booster unless buying a single upgrade right after - The Prestige Popup Summary was showing old values prior to v2.0 balance updates (10%, 20% instead of the new 50%, 75%) - The confirmation window for Lab Rebooting wasn't showing % increases from upgrades, they were being applied silently - Vial count went past the progress bar when at a high figure. Now, your vial count has been truncated to show m/b/t/q, and past q (being quadrillion), I will use hopefully simple suffixes that won't be too complicated, so past q it'll go to Qa, Qb, Qc etc for further values.
