More straight from your suggestions — making the game easier to read, and easier to read at a glance. Resize the UI New UI Scale slider (Menu ▸ Display) — text or buttons too small (or too big)? Drag the slider anywhere from 80% to 150% and the whole interface resizes instantly. A "Reset to 100%" button returns to the auto-detected size. The single most-requested quality-of-life feature — thank you to everyone who asked. Live income readout See your $/sec — each running skill now shows its current earnings rate right on its row, and the top bar shows your combined rate across every active skill. Easy to see at a glance what's paying off. Fixes Tidier achievements — fixed already-earned achievements popping up again on launch (and, in rare cases, appearing to grant all at once). They're synced quietly now, so only brand-new unlocks get a notification. Smoother offline play — fixed a softlock where maxing every skill while away could block new skills from unlocking. Fixed the Material Shop's owned-count so it matches the Crafting screen. The shop was also counting finished items crafted from a material, so it showed a higher number than crafting did.Added a guard so dispatch can no longer set the target floor shallower than the start floor. This reversed state was selectable and made the estimated reward / auto-return preview disagree with what actually happened.When an adventurer falls, the battle log now shows \ (red) / \ (orange) as color-coded text. We also replaced every garbled symbol (tofu boxes) across the battle log and status text with readable text.Reworked the Workshop's pricing and UI. Enhancement is now a 5-step ladder starting at 30,000 G (30k → 60k → 120k → 240k → 480k); modifier Remove = 10,000 G, Reroll = 5,000 G, Enchant = 40,000 G. The workshop panel was widened to fix overlapping text, and it now shows the weapon's full stats.Fixed the "Forbidden Craft" tech node to require 4 magic materials instead of 5. Update 6.1 — Hotfix

A quick fix from your reports — thank you for the detailed bug write-ups. Fixed Offline softlock — if you maxed every unlocked skill while the game was closed, the next department could stay locked even though you'd earned it (the unlock check only ran while you were actively playing). Your unlocks are now reconciled the moment you return, so new skills open up right away. Worth knowing Offline XP multiplier is working as intended — it is applied while you're away. If progress feels capped, that's the offline time limit: 4 hours by default, or a full week with the Unlimited Offline upgrade. The remainder is earned quickly once you're back online. Keep the reports coming — they go straight into the next update.

An endless prestige loop Compound Growth — a new Founder Store upgrade that multiplies your income and compounds every level. It never caps out, so your power keeps snowballing run after run. Every run stays meaningful — difficulty now scales with your power, but your bonuses scale faster, so each refound is a genuine power spike, never a wall. No more maxing everything in an afternoon and being done. Money stays meaningful — reined in the runaway late-game income so numbers don't lose all meaning. For returning founders Welcome-back gift — you get a free head-start on Compound Growth, scaled to how far you'd already climbed. Thanks for being here early! Milestones are now rewards — the skill milestones at Lv 25/50/75/99 are granted free as you level (with bigger bonuses), instead of costing a premium for a small boost. Smoother start A livelier opening — your second skill and slot unlock much sooner, so the early game isn't single-threaded. Fixed the "Storm" weapon enchant not being applicable. "Storm" used a special (multiply) effect internally, so the workshop's enchant always rejected it. It now applies correctly as a flat Speed bonus.Financial Ledger: fixed the savings (balance) line reading far higher than your real balance. The savings line was drawn against the income/expense scale, so even with little money it sat at the top of the chart. It now has its own scale on the right side of the chart (matching the left axis), so it reads at your true balance.Dispatch: revamped the dungeon drop display. The listed materials now match what a dungeon actually drops (aggregated across its whole enemy roster, ordered by drop rate). The hover detail has also been redesigned — materials appear as rarity-colored chips with drop rates, and (once Scout is unlocked) the enemies and boss you'll face are shown clearly.Tidied up high-tier dungeon materials. Updates Added 2 Extra Sheep :). Ctrl + F will now focus the bank search field. Bug Fixes Fixed the Item Compendium not scrolling correctly, and the new golden armours not showing. Fixed a Tooltip getting stuck in the Challenge Store, challenge updates were causing this to reactivate. Fixed an issue with Lumber Stall not correctly progressing for the Thieving Challenge. Fixed Damage Reduction using your full damage reduction stat not the damage actually reduced. Fixed a bug where the safety backup system did not properly protect against force quitting or powering off during save. Because this update changed the way save data is saved, it may end up corrupting your save data (sorry). If that happens, keep in mind that whenever a new update is downloaded the game automatically creates a permanent backup of your most recent save. Additionally, you can continue playing on the old version using Steam library->Right click->Properties->Game versions and betas->previousversion. You should still let me know if there's a problem though since previousversion will update to V1.25 if and when I make a V1.26. If you need help restoring a backup save let me know.

Update 5g — A panel that matches your skill

Colourful skill panel: the center info boxes (name, level, status, reward) now take on the colour of the skill you're viewing, so they look at home on every theme. Miami Nights glow-up: the theme now has its own warm skill palette — Coding goes violet, Design pink, Marketing coral, and so on — instead of the old cold blue, across the whole UI. Stability: extra hardening on the Skills info (ⓘ) popup so rapid clicks can't trip it up. Thanks Iker for the sharp eye on the light-theme colours!

Update 5f — Buy in bulk

Bulk buy: Company and R&D upgrades now have a ×1 / ×10 / ×100 / Max selector — buy a stack of levels in one click instead of clicking forever. "Max" buys everything you can afford. (Thanks for the request, Tunerko!) Fixed: you could end up with more skill slots than there are skills (a wasted, paid-for empty slot). Slots are now capped at the number of skills, so every slot you unlock is one you can actually use. Thanks for the detailed feedback that surfaced both of these! 🙏

Hello captains, We want to give an update on our current plans for the future of Vanguard Galaxy. If you've been following our updates most of this won't be new to you, but we feel that its good to emphasize our dedication to the project. And specifically to some important features that we want to add sooner rather then later. Over time we have built quite a long list of our own wishes for what we want to add to the game mixed with your feedback. So we needed to prioritize and this update is a result of that. :) We are very happy with how the game is progressing and are even more happy with all of you giving feedback. Don't let this stop you from giving feedback and bug reports. We appreciate all of you and your ideas a lot!Current Beta, short term plansCurrently a beta version is available in Steam, which you have to actively select for the game in order to play it. The current plan is to give this beta another few weeks to a month to mature and get ready for the merge to the live branch of the game.This version of the game currently adds:Officers and Crew splitThe beta introduced crew in the form of deckhands, miners, salvagers, gunners and marines that each have their own strength, giving the ship they crew a relevant bonus. Boarding and Dry dockCrew can also be used to enter other ships and if successful claim the ship as your own for a material cost. Or you can scrap the ship to gain materials needed for a better target.InstallationsThey can also be used to infiltrate installations scattered across the galaxy in different forms. Industrial Stations, Military Outposts and Research Stations are just a few examples. You can enter these and find all kinds of loot there.
