Update 1.3.4 — Emergency Protocol

Legacy of the Ark — Update 1.3.4: Emergency Protocol The Ark is getting smarter, the Crew Deck is getting stronger, and the early game is now much easier to understand. With v1.3.4 "Emergency Protocol", new commanders now get a guided introduction through the opening of the game, the Crew Deck Overview has been rebuilt into a true command dashboard, portrait/mobile flow has been improved, and event tokens can now follow signed-in players across devices. Full details below. 🤖 Guided Onboarding — Emergency Protocol The Ark now teaches itself. A brand-new EMERGENCY PROTOCOL onboarding tour now guides new players through the opening of the game step by step. It introduces the first tap on the core, the first purchase, Directives, and each of the starting screens so players understand what to do and where to go. At the end of the opening flow, players are rewarded with +5 ARK Cores at BEGIN RECOVERY. This system doesn’t stop after the opening, either. As additional systems unlock over time, the guide returns to explain them as they come online, including: Salvage Automation The Anomaly Awakening Echo research And more The guide also gives honest warnings and timing advice for reset systems like Anomaly and Awakening, helping players understand what those choices mean before they commit. After a player completes their first Anomaly, the guide even walks them into Echo research and points out strong first upgrade picks. Important note: Emergency Protocol never buys anything or triggers resets for the player. It explains and recommends, but the decisions remain in the player’s hands. Veteran players will automatically skip the onboarding flow, and anyone who wants to see it again can replay it anytime from Settings. 🛠 Crew Deck Overview — Rebuilt The Overview tab in the Crew Deck has been rebuilt into a more useful command dashboard. The new layout now features: A Crew Rank hero section with badge and rank progress Top Training tracks at a glance Incident cards with inline ...

MEGACITY Update

MEGACITY UpdateHere is what is new in this build:Quick access from the top bar. The screens you use most now sit right on the top bar instead of hiding in the More menu, so getting around is faster. Everything else is still one tap away under MORE.A clearer World Map. Labels stay readable, zoom behaves, spacing is tidier, and the map now centers on your territory instead of drifting to the edges.A fairer biosphere. Disease outbreaks and toxic blooms now burn out and are contained over time instead of stacking forever, and the biosphere can climb back once things settle. Warnings now tell you exactly what to build or enact before a crisis hits.Pause now truly pauses. A paused game no longer hands you resources or messages for the time you were away, even if you switch away and come back or reload. An easier first hour. New cities are walked through their first build, edict, and dispatch one step at a time, with a clear next move to follow. You can choose GUIDED for the help or VETERAN to skip it and drop straight into command.More control in Settings. Reset everything at once, or just Display, Audio, or Accessibility on their own, and see at a glance what you have changed. Your save slots are never touched. With gratitude,Luke - Green Kamino

Idle Regenerator Launch!

Well... we made it.After a lot of late nights, questionable quantities of caffeine, and more "I'll just fix one more thing" moments than I'd like to admit, Idle Regenerator officially launches on Steam at 12:00 AM this Friday.First of all, thank you.Whether you've wishlisted the game, followed development, or you're just stumbling across it today, I genuinely appreciate you taking an interest in something I've poured a lot of time and energy into. As a solo developer, every player matters, and every bit of support helps more than you probably realize. So what is Idle Regenerator? It's an incremental game built around steady progression, meaningful upgrades, and the satisfaction of watching your Hero grow from humble beginnings into something wonderfully ridiculous. If you enjoy optimization, unlocking new systems, discovering better strategies, and chasing that "just one more upgrade" feeling, I think you'll have a good time.Of course, no game launches perfectly.Despite countless hours of testing, there is a very real possibility that someone will somehow click the one button combination that summons a bug I have never seen before. Players are incredibly talented at finding those. If that happens, please let me know. The Steam Discussion Boards will be the best place to report bugs, ask questions, suggest features, or just share your thoughts. I'll be checking them regularly, and they're where I'll post information about known issues, upcoming patches, and development updates.Player feedback is something I take seriously. I can't promise every suggestion will make it into the game, but I can promise I'll read them, think about them, and use them to help guide future development. My plan is to continue supporting Idle Regenerator well after launch. That means regular bug-fix updates when issues come up, along with content updates that expand the game over time. I already have plenty of ideas I'd like to add, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the community wants most...

Version 1.3.3 — The Crew Deck Update

Version 1.3.3 — The CREW DECK Update The biggest update yet, Survivors. Your crew finally gets the command hub it deserves, daily objectives and a full season pass arrive, seasons become a real race, and the whole early game got a balance pass. Full notes below. 🛠 The Crew Deck The Crew screen has been rebuilt into a six-tab command hub: Overview — your new Crew Rank dashboard: a rank ladder built from total crew training levels that survives Anomaly and Awakening resets. Training — the classic crew click-power upgrades plus the endless Operations and Command tracks. Assignments — station your crew at duty posts for flat bonuses (unlocks post-Legacy). Exploration — the full Exploration system now lives inside the Crew Deck. Upgrades — six infinite, procedurally generated crew-upgrade lanes (post-Legacy). Incidents — positive-only crew events with a real choice: play it safe with RESOLVE or gamble on PUSH HARDER. Ignoring an incident never punishes you. Plus a new Memory upgrade — Training Continuity — that makes Crew Training survive the Anomaly AND the Awakening. 📋 Objectives & the Ark Patron Season PassDaily & Weekly Objectives — 3 daily and 3 weekly rotating goals with progress bars, reset countdowns, and rewards: banked time, Surge holds, and ARK Cores. Progress survives prestiges. Ark Patron Season Pass — completing objectives earns pass XP, and EVERY level pays out instantly. The premium track pays a second reward on every level — retroactively, too. Resets each quarterly season. 🏁 Seasons & Live Ops Season Race — a new leaderboard metric races Energy earned this quarter. Fresh start every season, with automatic tiered ARK Core rewards for the top finishers when the season closes. Production Weekends — every weekend the Ark automatically runs a ×2 Energy event. Watch for the gold banner on the Bridge. Leaderboard overhaul — rank-change arrows, a "rival within reach" callout, and a Phase Distribution histogram showing where the whole galaxy sits. ⭐ Quality of L...

Ecology and Nature Crisis Updates.

Ecology and Nature Crisis UpdateI received reports that responding to a nature or ecology crisis would spendyour resources but the crisis would return almost immediately, sometimes overand over. Thank you for flagging it. This update fixes the root causes and makesyour investment in the environment actually stick. What was going wrong:- Resolving a crisis did not fix its cause. When you chose a response to a nature or ecology crisis, the game charged you and applied the effect, but it never rebalanced the wildlife or biome driving the crisis. The underlying imbalance remained, so the same crisis re-triggered shortly after, making it feel like your resources did nothing.- Some crises slipped through a second resolution path. Crises answered through multi-choice events were hit hardest: the effects applied, but the biome was never brought back into balance, so a follow-up crisis fired again soon after.- A neglected environment could get stuck at rock bottom. If your biosphere collapsed, it could flatline at zero with no way back, so nature crises never let up no matter what you did.- Crises fired far too often. Even a recovering environment faced crises at full frequency, so there was no visible payoff for cleaning things up.- You had no way to see progress. Nothing told you whether your ecology was recovering or whether crises were becoming less likely. What I fixed:- Resolving a crisis now heals its cause. Every way of clearing a crisis, single choice, multi-choice, and dismiss, now rebalances the originating biome and opens a short calm window, so a crisis you pay to resolve stays resolved instead of instantly repeating.- All resolution paths are unified. Every crisis-clearing path now runs through one shared step, so no crisis type can slip through without its biome being healed.- A neglected environment now recovers on its own. Instead of dying permanently at zero, a neglected biosphere gradually rewilds back toward a natural floor, giving your ecology a path back....

v0.2.15 - Misc Improvements

v0.2.15 - Misc Improvements BidGoblin Auctions BidGoblin now runs itself. Lots refill on their own and the floor is always live. No more calling for fresh lots. Twice as many live auctions at once. Up to 12 lots on the floor. Auctions now last 20 to 35 seconds. Every lot gives you real time to bid. New sort toggle on the live lots. Flip between ending soonest and ending latest. Your choice is remembered. Graded slabs now show up at auction, not just raw cards. Any card can appear slabbed by ZAG, PZA, or Bucket at any grade. Rare Bucket black label slabs can now appear too. About a 0.5% chance. These are grade 10 jackpot lots. The estimated value at auction now matches what the card is worth in your inventory. No more surprise drop after you win. Added a hover tip that explains the estimated value. The auction page now fills the whole screen, top to bottom. Mods and Loading Mod Manager has a live memory bar so you can watch RAM and heap usage. You can raise the heap limit for big mods, up to 32 GB. The memory bar shows real GPU status and can be collapsed. The loading screen now appears instantly and waits for mods to finish loading. Workshop mods show their art and name right away in the Load Order tab. Performance Card art now loads in batches instead of one request at a time. Big pages load much faster. Fixes The red closing warning on the auction now covers the whole pit from the top. Restyled the bid and buyout buttons to match the rest of the game. Mods no longer store duplicate copies of the same art. Many mods will shrink a lot. Fixed a rare bug that could save a big mod with no art. Mods now back up their file before any risky save. Fixed Export doing nothing on very large mods. It now warns you clearly. Fixed the My Mods card showing the wrong file size after saving. The card inspector now shows your card's real value. The Market Drift chart matches your actual copy. For cards you own, the chart now shows profit or loss against what you paid. Fixed employee...

MEGACITY — Bug Fix.

MEGACITY — Bug Fix.Four reported player issues were hopefully fixed:1. Character creation points came back after being spent Problem: The game kept a "highest ever" record of attribute and skill points, so spending them could silently give them back. Fix: Point balances are now tracked as the exact current amount, so once they are spent they stay spent.2. Nature crises kept coming back right after being resolved Problem: Resolving a wildlife or plant crisis only adjusted city-wide stats, not the actual animal or plant population that caused it, so the same crisis re-triggered shortly after. Fix: Resolving a crisis now rebalances that biome's populations and adds a short calm period, so the crisis does not immediately return.3. The whole city eventually became homeless no matter what Problem: Housing capacity only counted a few building types and ignored housing districts, and the homeless count was a percentage that maxed out at 100% once population passed that small capacity. Fix: Housing capacity now counts all housing districts plus every housing building, and the homeless count is the real shortfall (people beyond capacity). Build enough housing and homelessness drops to zero.4. Trading with settlements could be spammed for easy gains Fix: Each settlement now has a cooldown after trading. Repeat trades are blocked and the button shows "On cooldown" until it is ready again.5. Bodyguard conversations could be repeated for endless rewards Fix: Each conversation topic now gives its reward only once per bodyguard. You can still re-read the dialogue, but it no longer pays out again.Verification: Added automated tests for the nature-crisis and homelessnessfixes, and all project checks (types, tests, performance) pass. An automatedcode review approved the changes.

Patch v1.0.4 "Are we there yet?"

Thank you for all the engagement and feedback, I'm reading it all even though I can't respond to everyone right away. I've collected a bunch of fixes in this patch that addresses several of the big complaints. Please give the game another chance if you previously stopped, hopefully you'll have a positive experience this time! Performance & OptimizationSkip sub-pixel stars and station variants at low zoom levels.Skip refinery/cleanser beam details and cleanser shadows at low zoom levels.Bug FixesCrashing when sacrificing ship fixed. This was happening if you sacrificed ships that killed the black hole but ships where already en route. They lost their target and looped infinitely trying to find something.Traders now correctly apply their Cargo Size when selling product. Bringing their profits way up. Previously they for some reason skipped that in the calculations making them quite useless. Expeditions reset correctly if prestige mid expedition.Black Market Contacts trade boost to +10%.Ship manifest now shows correct ship IDs on very large fleetsAuto-buyers no longer force-reactivate on level-up.Gameplay & BalancePirate Rework, I've heard you loud and clear, pirates are a money sink and not good. This is a first step just to give them a more permanent purpose. Defeated pirate ships enter a 15-second repair state instead of dying permanently.Halved Void Cleanser metal consumption rate (from 0.2 to 0.1 /s).Expedition rebalanced overall risk.Removed credit-based bounties from Signal Range 5 (SR5).Prevented refinery placement in locked signal ranges.UI & Quality of LifeMoved the Bounty Board inside the Fleet Command panel instead of being alone. Not final or the best solution but works for now. Instead of the bounty board disappearing off-screen and requiring the player to collapse the Fleet Command, player can now scroll down in the panel to see everything.Improved clarity of Void Cleanser UI buttons.Engine Overclock displays decimal values after level 40.Reworded Void C...

Patch #13.5

House Store Update — Stacking, Visibility & Fixes New House events now stack. Run several at once — each is tracked with its own independent timer. No more Exalted lock. The member-exclusive events (War Drums, Wilt, Forge-Surge) no longer require Exalted standing — any sworn member of the House can buy them at any reputation. Keep paying to extend an active event. Re-buying a running event now adds its full duration onto the clock, so you can pour as much gold as you like into a single bonus. The store card shows the live countdown and the extend price together, e.g. ● 6:30 · +75k. Improvements Active House events now appear in the World Events section on the Home screen with live countdowns, right next to Celestial Meteors and World Bosses. Event timers roll over to an Xh Ym format once they climb past an hour, so heavily-extended buffs read cleanly instead of showing hundreds of minutes. Fixes Purchasing a House event no longer scrolls the Factions page back to the top — your scroll position is preserved.

Patch #13

Eldara Update — Faction Rework, House Stores & Cremation Fixes ⚔️ Faction Combat Rework Every House now grants a permanent combat identity that stays useful even after your skills are maxed: Ashen Legion → +Damage Verdant Circle → +Max HP Gilded Hammer → +Defence Sworn members get the full bonus (up to +25% at max standing); non-members get a weaker version (up to +5%). You hold one oath, so you're strong in your House's stat and lightly buffed in the other two. Note: combat damage is now tied to Ashen membership, not rep alone — if you built Ashen standing but swore elsewhere, your damage bonus drops, but you gain your own House's identity (HP or Defence). Dedicated Ashen members are unchanged. 🛒 New: House Store (Faction Shop) A gold sink in each House's page — spend gold to call that House's timed events. Each shows in your combat HUD with a live countdown. General (Recognized): Ashen Muster (+20% Combat XP) · Verdant Flourish (+20% Gathering/Cultivating XP) · Gilded Bonanza (+20% Gold) Member-exclusive (Exalted + sworn): War Drums (enemy Max Hit −10%) · Wilt (enemy Max HP −10%) · Forge-Surge (+5% of your Max Hit added to your Min Hit) 🔥 Cremation & Ancient Surge Ancient Surge now speeds up the bone you're already burying, not just the next one. Ancient Surge now appears while cremating — no need to start another skill first. The Bone Grinder can now drop the Cremation pet while it burns bones. 🩹 Fixes Offline dungeons now overflow loot to your Bank when your inventory fills, instead of piling up and stalling.

Hotfix v1.0.0.0.31: Pet Expansion & The Missing Icon Mystery

Hi shop managers! Hotfix v1.0.0.0.31 is now live, bringing a major interactive upgrade to your desktop companions: 🚀 New Feature: Desktop Sabotage System Advanced Desktop Pet Behaviors: We've massively expanded the underlying behavior tree for the Desktop Pet mode. MEGACITY Update 2.6.0

MEGACITY Update 2.6.0 - Ecology Rebalance and Pause Fix.This update makes the ecology system fair and recoverable, and fixes a bug where paused games kept making progress.Ecology: fair, recoverable, and readable.- Outbreaks no longer spiral forever. Disease outbreaks and toxic blooms now burn out and are contained after a set number of turns instead of stacking endlessly. The damage they deal each turn is capped, so a bad moment can no longer snowball out of control.- Your city can recover. With no active outbreak and some investment in ecological buildings, the biosphere slowly climbs back to a survivable level instead of staying pinned at the bottom.- Early warnings that tell you what to do. Before disaster strikes you get clear alerts for a failing or collapsing biosphere, rising disease risk, and toxic bloom risk, each spelling out the fix, such as Biofilter Stations, Bioremediation Plants, Reclamation Domes, or a Mass Vaccination Drive.- Delegate disease management. With your Chancellor set to act or suggest, they will now step in during a health emergency and enact vaccination or public health edicts before things tip over.- Still a challenge. At genuinely bad stats the situation remains dangerous. This removes the unfair doom spiral, not the difficulty.Pause fix- Pausing now truly pauses everything. A paused game no longer grants resources or messages for the time you were paused, including when you switch away and return or reload. Un-pausing can never quietly hand that time back later either.A heartfelt thank you for the feedback that led to these changes.

v0.2.14 - New Packs & Mod Load Order

v0.2.14 - New Packs & Mod Load Order Mod Manager - Load Order New Load Order tab in Mod Manager - shows every installed mod, local and Workshop, in one unified priority list with reorder arrows. Each row shows the mod source (My Mods vs Workshop), a creature count, and impact badges for big changes: red "N sets off" when base sets are disabled, blue "Money/Market/Speed xN" for each changed multiplier, green "Grading" when grading companies or rates are modified. A "Changes game settings" badge shows a full breakdown on hover - starting money, game speed, disabled sets, grading companies, custom events, and more. Removed the per-card reorder arrows from My Mods; ordering is now handled exclusively from Load Order. Load Order rows use a drag handle to reorder - items animate smoothly as they slide to make room. The Mods and Load Order sub-tabs now live inside the nav pill and animate together instead of floating separately. Pack Builder & Balance Mod editor pack builder now supports per-slot rarity OR variant constraints - pin a slot to a rarity range, or lock it to specific variants (e.g. slot 1 normal-only, slot 10 holo/rainbow/gold). Slot variant mode toggles between rarity and variant per slot independently, and switching back and forth never loses your settings. Variant chips are sorted worst-to-best and include any custom variants your mod defines. Pack slot reveal order now matches the slot number exactly - slot 1 reveals first, slot 10 last. Auctions now allow all rarities to appear - previously only Rare and above were eligible. Sets tab "Set Presence" section now shows live "~1 in N" odds estimates per venue. Sets tab replaces the old single Set Weight slider with per-venue multipliers for Marketplace, Mystery Lots, Storage Units, Daily Deals, and Auctions - all default to 1.0 so existing mods are unaffected. These weights are now fully wired into the engine across every venue. Base game Generation 1-7 packs rebalanced: 10 cards per pack, price tuned per gen...

Patch v1.0.3

Slightly bigger patch - Bounties: Metal rewards adjusted down to their correct values. They were too big and broke the entire pace of the game. You can now abort two bounties before a cooldown. - Background throttling: Players reported that the game didn't run correctly when covered by other windows, added a fallback system that should fix this. Please let me know if it doesn't. - Wormhole: Unlock hint corrected - Wealth Path: Correctly resets on prestige - Console: Messages correctly resets on prestige - Prestige: Added a nudge for the first unlock and that you should keep going (really guys, keep playing and prestige at least one more time, the game is not over lol). Also added unlock hint on how to unlock prestige. - Stocks exchange: Fee now only applies on selling and is lowered. More gains for the people. - UI fix for \ meter. - Bug: enemy pirates were counted into your fleet sizeWith this patch + earlier hotfixes I think most urgent launch day bugs have been addressed. There are still bugs that I'm looking into, mainly why some achievements aren't popping up. I will update as soon as I have a fix. I'm also looking into overhauling pirates, I've heard you loud and clear that they are pretty... weak. Overhauling UI and making it better on larger screens is also on my to-do. But these are bigger changes that I want to do properly so it will take a bit of time. Thank you for your great feedback and nice words! Keep it coming on the Steam forums, Discord or Twitter.
