Hi managers! Following up on our recent builds, Hotfix v1.0.0.0.23 is now live. This patch tweaks the branch acquisition hurdles and fixes some truly bizarre space-time physics bugs: 🏢 Branch & Business Fixes Merger & Buff Adjustments: Fixed UI display issues with certain Branch Buffs and significantly lowered the unreasonably high requirements for Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). (You no longer need the GDP of a small country to buy out a rival branch). Falling Window Bug Fix: Fixed a hilarious but annoying issue where clicking the branch shop rapidly would cause the actual game window to physically sink/drop across your desktop screen. (Clicking too fast will no longer collapse the local gravitational field of the UI). 🐱 Cosmetics, Items & Stat Fixes Cosmetic Persistence Fix: Fixed a persistent bug where cat outfits and shop decorations would unequip themselves every time you restarted the game. (The cats will now actually keep their uniforms on between shifts instead of stripping them off the second you log out). "Time Field" Negative Glitch: Fixed a bug where using the "Common Time Field" consumable could glitch out the timeline and result in negative profit values. (The Time Variance Authority has stepped in; time-skipping will no longer drain your bank account). Klein Bottle Crit Fix: Fixed a bug where equipping the "Klein Bottle Helmet" completely prevented the player from triggering any Critical Hits. (The 4th-dimensional helmet was accidentally leaking all your critical hits into a parallel universe. We've successfully routed the damage back to 3D space). Please restart your Steam client to apply the update. Thank you for your continued support!
During the demo, some people were rightfully curious about the progression of Desk Space. There’s no secret that all of these games have some sort of prestige mechanic, and so does Desk Space.I didn’t want to show too much since I want it to be a nice surprise for the players, not that it's a revolutionary mechanic, but I personally think anything that can be left to be discovered is a good thing. My game design style is to try for gameplay variation with mechanics that exist in the game, making it a relatively meaningful change instead of doing smaller changes just to bloat content. The overall goal for each loop is to trigger a singularity, which triggers a universe reset… and gives you a permanent upgrade that can help or speed up the loop in certain ways.As you trigger a singularity, the universe \ and introduces more friction until you can trigger it again. There are a couple of ways you can \ the \, ranging from passive ways to more active choices that require resources of different kinds.Desk Space is still made to run relatively passively (if you want), but the game also introduces extra gameplay choices to give variation, such as running refineries for metal, playing the stock market or sending crews on time-based expeditions. All this, and you can still watch your ships zoom around with their flight paths. I’m glad so many players found the joy and calmness in that, just as I did when I was prototyping. Someone called it a "space aquarium" and I loved that comparison lol. Here's a sneakpeak at refineries (which you can manually place out, pretty cool!)I’m working hard on putting all the nuts and bolts together for release on the 30th. The Next Fest support really blew me away, so I’m crunching to put in content and variation. I hope you will enjoy it, some will probably be disappointed, but hopefully most will find the fun in it!More info soon!

Custom Events - create your own market events with custom flavor text, up/down direction, swing range, duration, and pool weight. Scope effects to specific sets, variants, or rarities beyond cards that already carry a trend tag. Base Game Events - per-tag overrides for all 27 base game event tags. Adjust up and down multiplier ranges and duration independently, or disable a tag entirely so it never fires. Mod Editor Generation 1-7 packs now appear as default booster packs in the vending machine All 10 rarities now appear in the mass upload rarity selector and balance tab rarity filters - previously only the base 5 were listed Balance tab: new bulk set rarity and bulk set variant tools - apply to all cards matching the current filter in one click Fixes Custom event set/variant/rarity filters now correctly affect card prices - the tag and criteria filters now work as OR (a card is affected if it has the matching tag, or if it matches the set/variant/rarity criteria) Market Trends exposure panel now correctly counts inventory for custom events that use set/variant/rarity targeting - previously always showed "none in hand" Card inspector now shows active custom event trends in the drift section - previously only base game tag trends appeared Card inspector drift chart and "% from baseline" now factor in active trend multipliers - a x18 event now correctly shows a massive spike instead of just noise Inventory card Market pill now shows the combined noise + trend percentage instead of noise-only Market movers ticker now ranks by full effective market movement including trends - heavily pumped cards surface to the top Rarity badge now scales proportionally with card size at all display sizes BidGoblin Paddle upgrade now correctly requires 100 reputation to purchase, matching the BidGoblin marketplace unlock Mass uploader no longer scrolls when removing an ...
Hi shop managers! As promised yesterday, Hotfix v1.0.0.0.21 is now live to clean up the post-overhaul turbulence from the branch update, stabilize your data, and introduce a brand-new endgame milestone: 🏆 New Feature: The 4th Leaderboard — "Singularity Board"! Aim for Cosmic Ascension: We have officially opened the game's 4th leaderboard: the Singularity Leaderboard! Built specifically for true long-term idle ascenders, this board tracks scores up to a mind-boggling theoretical hard cap of 10^27,400,000,000 (10 to the power of 27.4 billion). The ultimate goal of boba is no longer profit—it is the singularity! ⚖️ Economy & Balance Fixes Branch Stat Inflation Fix: Re-tuned the underlying math structures of the newly overhauled Branch system to prevent runaway stat inflation and broken profit curves. Negative Offline Income Fix: Fixed a bug where offline idle profit calculations could glitch out and return negative numbers. (The rogue negative numbers have been permanently evicted). Steam Inventory Sync Fix: Resolved data desync issues between your Steam Cloud inventory and your in-game backpack. 🐱 Desktop Pet & Asset Polish Cosmetic Persistence & Layer Clipping: Fixed a bug where the Klein Bottle Helmet and Absolute Tungsten Cube unequipped themselves and required manual re-equipping on every launch. Also resolved layer clipping/penetration issues for both items. (The 4th dimension is now safely confined to its proper rendering layer). Pet Origin Teleport Fix: Fixed an annoying bug where toggling or switching Desktop Pet mode forced your desktop cats to teleport back to the screen's default origin coordinates. Window Toggle Memory Fix: Fixed an issue where the game forgot your "Always on Top" preference, requiring you to manually untoggle it every session. Please restart your Steam client to apply the update. Happy weekend leaderboard hunting!

Hi managers! We’ve completely rebuilt the Branch Shop system. Branch shops are no longer just mindless multiplier stacks—they are now core components of your growing boba empire. 🚀 Key Features of the Overhaul: No More Pure Multipliers: We’ve moved away from dry numeric stacking. Branch shops are now dynamic, independent entities. Brand Identity: Your branches now have a unique brand image. Decor and drink selection directly impact your shop’s local reputation. Employee Dispatch System: Your cats aren't just for decoration! Dispatch your best-trained staff to manage branches—their individual stats will now dictate the success and output of each location. Market Competition: You are no longer alone in the market. Face off against rival brands to dominate traffic and capture the market share. Diverse Branch Buffs: Branch shops now provide a wider, more strategic range of buffs, including traffic boosts, cost reduction, and cat stamina regeneration. (Note: This is a major structural shift. As with all big overhauls, there may be some post-launch bugs; we have a v1.0.0.0.21 hotfix already queued and coming your way shortly to smooth things out!) The shop is evolving. Head out and select your best cats for the new management positions!
Wish-Lamp talisman hotfix: stack cap 76 (was 16); rebirth bonus relic rolls(~+1 per +30% effect, up to +3 from stacks at 76 stacks; +1 per 200 peak floors unchanged; 9 max). Item tab "+N" matches payout.
Coin and Counsel — Updates 1.0.5 & 1.0.6 A new building, real lifesteal, and a handful of overdue fixes — all landing together. 🏛️ The Academy A new building for your Holding, and the realm's first true late-game gold sink. Fund it with gold — 100M to raise, scaling into the billions — and a share of all the XP you earn (yours and your minions', online and offline) also pours into your single weakest skill. Climbs to +5% at max level. Dragging a neglected skill up from the ground now happens quietly in the background while you train whatever you like. A proper home for overflowing late-game coin: maxing it runs into the billions. Keep an eye out for the violet 📚 +XP popups marking whichever skill the Academy is feeding. ⚔️ Fixes & Balance Crimson Pact actually heals you now. It was quietly broken — instead of restoring HP it only shaved a sliver off incoming hits. It now genuinely returns HP for every monster you kill, shown right in the combat log. The Sawmill now boosts Carpentry too, not just Woodcutting — a sawmill is where logs become planks, after all. Vintner's Cellar raises the buff-duration cap. With enough ranks you can bank consumable buffs well past the old 60-minute ceiling.
Hunting Store Update + Fixes New Hunting Store Options Beastmaster's Call — doubles your skill-pet find chance (stacks with Beastcaller's Whistle). Skill-Speed Boon — every skill works 25% faster for 10 minutes. Re-buyable, with a live on-screen timer. Echo of Ages I & II — extend every Ancient Surge to 30s, then a full 60s (up from 10s). Hunter's Bounty — rare drops (5% chance or lower) roll 5x more often, shown directly on every monster & World-Boss loot table. Expedition Charter — every World-Boss drop rolls at 1.5x chance. Sticky Fingers — 30% chance on a successful steal to lift bonus gold (50–500, scaled by the stall). Note: Extended Expedition I now costs 1,900 Hunting Points, as Sticky Fingers takes the former 800 slot. Bug Fixes The Crystal Hollow's void ore now correctly drops Voidstone — it stacks and carries full legendary value. Existing stuck stacks repair themselves on next load. Gear sets now glow the correct combat style — a Magic loadout shows "Magic", not "Melee". The Collection "encountered" total now credits items produced by bonus-item passives. Houses will re-invite you after a broken oath, so you can no longer be locked out of joining one. Hardcore: the "-50% XP/Gold" tag no longer overlaps the skill stats. Polished in-game tooltips (Max Hit breakdown, bank tabs). Stability Fixed a rare cause of lost characters (oversized custom avatars exceeding the save limit). Saves are now better protected.
https://i.imgur.com/DDIP2yR.png You may now transmute Coins back to Waifu Crystals. The success rate is 25%. The rest are turned into Burnt Crystals. Burnt Crystals have no particular use, but can be stacked if you like collecting novelty items in large quantities. https://i.imgur.com/cwmIK6W.png
Hi shop managers, Hotfix v1.0.0.0.13 is now live to address the following issues: Production Line Interaction (Take Two): Fixed a lingering issue where the "Tea Base", "Toppings", and "Packaging" bars could still become unclickable. (The dev solemnly swears it is actually fixed this time). Desktop Pet Catnip Exploit: Fixed a bug in Desktop Pet mode allowing infinite uses of "Common Catnip". (The desk cats' loophole for infinite free highs has been shut down). Drop Pool Fix: Resolved a backend mapping glitch causing abnormal item drops from the Idle Pool. Negative Technology Fix: Fixed a bug where Tech points could drop into negative values. (The rogue negative numbers tried to un-invent boba; their lab access has been revoked). Steam Market Sync Fix: Fixed a scary issue where items delisted/cancelled from the Steam Community Market failed to reappear in your game inventory. (Your items didn't vanish into the digital void—they just got stuck in customs. They are now safely back in your inventory). Please restart your Steam client to apply the update. Happy weekend brewing!

Hi everyone, Hotfix v1.0.0.0.12 is now live! This patch tackles several frustrating UI freezes, performance drops, and high-resolution scaling bugs to keep your tea shop running smoothly: 🔧 Patch Notes Catnip Performance Fix: Fixed a severe lag and frame drop issue that occurred after using "Catnip" for fever auto-clicking. (Your cats can now work at hyper-speed with buttery-smooth frames!) 4K Resolution Fix: Fixed a bug where the game became unresponsive or completely unclickable when playing on 4K monitors. Production Line Interaction: Fixed an issue where the progress bars for "Tea Base", "Toppings", and "Packaging" could not be clicked or advanced. Help Document Freeze: Fixed a bug that caused the game to soft-lock or freeze when opening the in-game Help document. Please restart your Steam client to apply the update. Thank you for your continued bug reports and support!
⚒️ Eldara — Balance Correction & Fixes A correction to last update's skill-leveling changes, plus a couple of bug fixes. ⚖️ Balance Smithing, Crafting & Fletching leveling — reverted and buffed. Last update slowed these three skills down, and that was our mistake. 🔧 Bug Fixes Withdrawing gold from the bank no longer shuffles your inventory. Pulling coins out of the bank used to shove every item down a slot, reshuffling your whole grid. Your layout now stays exactly where you left it, and gold returns to its own slot. 🎯 Quality of Life World Boss loot now tells you where it went. World Boss drops land in your Loot Box — this is by design, so a full inventory can never cost you apex loot mid-fight — but the game now states this clearly on every kill and reminds you to claim the drops from the Monsters or Dungeons tab. (The loot was never lost; it was simply sitting unclaimed in the box.) Thieving Lv 45 perk relabeled to "+10% thieving loot chance." It only ever boosted thieving stalls — never combat or other drops — so the old "on every drop" wording was misleading. Thank you for the reports and feedback — keep them coming, and enjoy!

Challenger Woolen Coat, Seance Velvet Robe, Alienist's Frock Coat, Horologist's Chamois Vest, Mesmerist's Gilded Tailcoat, and Daguerreotype Dark-Cloth Cloak. 2 New BGM Records: 1888 London Fog Night (BGM), Seance Harmonium (BGM). 🔧 Fixes & Optimizations Visual Clarity: Added rarity colors to items in the inventory so you can instantly recognize their tier. Also fixed several minor UI display bugs. Fever Mode Performance: Optimized code logic to significantly reduce frame drops and stuttering during Fever Mode. 🔥 Eldara — Balance & Polish Update A hefty update this time: Firemaking becomes the game's XP engine, every skill now levels at a consistent pace, Hardcore gets fairer, and a stack of bugs got squashed. Your saved progress is untouched — only the numbers behind future actions changed. 🔥 Firemaking Overhaul Firemaking is now the global XP accelerator it was always meant to be — leveling it speeds up EVERY skill. Level passive is a true global multiplier: Lv 10 +10%, Lv 50 +25%, Lv 80 +40%, Lv 95 +50% to ALL XP gains. Lit fires compound on top of that: Warm Soul (×1.05), Elder Flame (×1.15) and Inferno (×1.20) now multiply your full XP total instead of adding flat — all three lit at Lv 95 is roughly +96% all-XP. ⚖️ Skill Leveling Parity Leveling speed used to vary wildly — some skills took 3–4× longer than others for no real reason. Every gathering & processing skill now reaches Level 100 in about the same time (~160 hours of active play): Fishing & Cooking — about 2× faster Woodcutting & Firemaking — about 40% faster Mining & Thieving — slightly faster Cultivating — much faster (big buff to a very slow skill) Smithing, Crafting & Fletching — brought down; these were by far the fastest and are now in line with the rest Your accumulated XP is unchanged — only the XP earned per action was rebalanced. 🛡️ Hardcore Hardcore halves XP, and the leftover half used to always round down (a small action could even floor to 0). XP now rounds half-up and never pays 0 — a small but steady gain over a full run. (Gold already worked this way.) 🔧 Bug Fixes World Boss — a full satchel no longer blocks you from engaging. Previously a full inventory silently stopped you from fighting the boss, and a restart didn't help. You can now fight it regardless; any loot routes safely to your Bank. Faction oaths — fixed the "no invite from any House" lockout. If an oath invitation ever got buried (most common in Fast mode), it could permanently and silently block every future House invitation. Aff...
A Realm Alive The realm grows livelier this update. The more of you playing at once, the more everyone earns, plus a batch of quality-of-life upgrades you have been asking for. New Community XP boost. The more players online, the more bonus XP everyone earns, up to +20%. A new chip in the top bar shows the live player count and your current boost. Sell or donate exact amounts. Every inventory stack and the Renown donation now have a clean quantity input. Jump to the source. Click any material in your Holding or in a recipe to jump straight to the skill that makes it. Localized patch notes. The What's New screen is now translated into all 31 languages. Balance Daily quests scale with your rank. They stay meaningful into the late game, with bigger targets and bigger rewards. Combat is a touch tougher. Monsters hit a bit harder, so bring food and armor instead of charging in bare-handed. Battle-Scarred. The death leaderboard now honors the most battle-scarred and is renamed to match. Quality of life New option in Settings to hide the leaderboards entirely. Steam achievements you already earned now sync reliably on launch. Fixes Fixed an auto-sell trap where a group could get stuck auto-selling with no way to reach the toggle. Its tab now stays available so you can switch it off. Thank you for playing, and for all the feedback. See you in the realm.
- Fix misc mod issues around exporting, importing, loading, saving, auto saving, steamworks issues, file syncing
Hi shop managers, Quick maintenance hotfix v1.0.0.0.7 is now live to tackle two specific quirks: Fixed a bug where negative values could bypass the newly implemented counting mechanism. (Some rogue negative numbers found a loophole in yesterday's security logic; the backdoor has been officially sealed). Fixed an issue where toggling off "Always on Top" sometimes required clicking the button twice.
Hi everyone, Hotfix v1.0.0.0.6 is now live! This patch focuses on fixing some wildly extreme financial bugs, smoothing out code performance, and paving the way for a big content drop tomorrow. 🐛 Bug Fixes Fixed a bug where opening a branch shop did not deduct any money. (The era of infinite free real estate is officially over!) Fixed an integer overflow bug where accumulating too much money caused player savings to flip into negative numbers. Fixed an issue where certain achievements failed to trigger if the player had previously played the Demo. ⚖️ Balance & Optimization Reduced the trigger probability of negative random events. (Note: We are currently cooking up an entirely revamped, much more fun event system for a future update!) Underlying Code Optimization: Refactored runtime logic to noticeably reduce stuttering and frame drops during extended idle sessions. 🎁 Get your catnip ready—tomorrow we will be deploying a major update to the drop pool! This incoming patch will feature brand-new cat animations/actions and a whole new wardrobe of cat outfits. Keep the tea brewing, and we'll see you tomorrow!
