Hi everyone!We are currently working on an experimental update for Gamblers Table and are looking for some testers and feedback.Let me pre-face this by saying: This is not a content update! We know that you are eagerly awaiting new content but before adding new features we first would like to try improving the foundation of the game. The experimental build is a rework of the skilltree, it increases the amount of unlockable skillpoints to 131. The extra points are used for passive bonuses and skilling certain talents up to 3 times but there are no new mechanics yet. The skillpoints are unlocked much faster than before, keeping the gameplay length about the same. We hope to give players more strategic choice and more frequent upgrades that way.We are mainly looking for feedback in two areas: Does the new, enlarged skilltree feel generally better than the old version or is it more or less the same to you, or maybe even worse?This new build went through waaaay less balancing than the release version, so it is balanced rather poorly. We’d be happy to just get some overall balancing feedback, which skills/strategies seem too weak/too strong etc.Everybody can test the new build, you simply need to go to your Steam Library, right click Gamblers Table and choose "Properties". Then you click "Game Versions & Betas". There you can select a branch named “new-skill-tree”. But be careful: This new build uses the same save game as the old version. To properly test the rework, I would really appreciate if you would restart the game from scratch!New players are also very welcome to test this version of the game! Transforming into 1 of 3 different forms, grants powerful bonuses and new skills.Class - Monk: Brings a new arsenal of Tank tools to the fray. He can balance out the parties Enmity and scale it to his own while providing unmatched Guard ability. He is the first class to fully utility the Hybrid damage type. Highly versatile Tank with specialized Enmity skills to make sure he keeps the enemy beating on him.Shapeshift - Bear Form: Transform into a bear. Speed reduced by 25%. Max HP is increased by 50%. It's been two years in the making, but today's the day—Skeleseller has finally launched! 🎉The demo will remain available for anyone who still wants to try the game before buying it. It represents the first ~30 minutes of Story Mode, which should last for a total of 4-5 hours in the full game. Also, your progress should carry over from the demo (if it doesn't, feel free to reach out over Discord or the Steam forums).Something to keep in mind: this isn't an idle game in the sense that you're supposed to walk away from your computer and let it progress while you're gone. You can do that, but "idle" here means that you don't directly control the characters. Fixed a bug allowing upgrading crafters more than max resulting in wands per batch value rolling over
This update focuses on fixing and improving some things around the Deeper update. The first main thing is increased cost scaling for productivity and luck upgrades, as those ended up too powerful after the Deeper update. Your luck and productivity upgrade level will be automatically adjusted to new values based on the new cost scaling.Then I have added a new upgrade called Sell portals. This can be unlocked after the storage minecart has been fully maxed out and replaces the storage minecart with sell portals that sells any wands (or gems and logs if the fences are down) directly without any need for transport. This is to solve the storage minecart becoming a bottleneck in the pipeline at the end as the only limit with the sell portals are how fast you can craft wands.There is a bonus upgrade in this update as well, saw lasers. The saw laser allows the moose to mine more than 1 tile deep at a time. This is an upgrade I wanted to add to the game a while back, but did not have the time to look into as it seemed to need quite a lot of work. But when I took a look at it again now due to some other changes and improvements I had made to the game, it was a pretty quick thing to add. It comes as an upgrade in the upgrade screen, where you can increase the maximum laser length. And then if a moose is mining a gem or a tree and has more damage than is needed to mine it completely the damage left will be used to send out a laser to mine the next gem or tree. It speeds up the mining a lot whenever a moose has more saw damage than could otherwise be used in the area it is mining. There are a couple of other things in the update and some bug fixes as well. New update! We've heard your feedback on wanting to play all levels on endless without any token limits, so we've added a mode for that now. You'll find a checkbox on endless levels 1-8 to play the unrestricted versions. We wanted to get this out sooner rather than later, so some additional balancing may still be needed. Please let us know what you think!We've also increased HP scaling again on waves 20 and above in endless. This should most notably affect level 9, so we've gone ahead and reset the leaderboard on it. Full changes below: Added Unrestricted Endless mode. Levels 1-8 can now also be played without any token limits, with separate enemy scaling and leaderboards.
