We are aware of issues launching the game directly from Steam for some Linux users. By all reports we currently have, launching the game directly from the executable (instead of through Steam) is a workaround for the time being. We are looking into the issue and hope to resolve it soon.

New Content: The Battlepass now goes up to Lv. 100+ and contains tons of new powerful resources, such as Supreme Tech, Supreme Tokens, and Mastery Points! Changes: Slightly rebalanced many of the Battlepass rewards. They may have increased or decreased for you depending on what stage of the game you're at due to how they scale with your progress. The permanent Rank Exp rewards in particular received a huge buff. If you had previously claimed these Rank Exp rewards already, you'll be able to reclaim them again now with the much larger bonus. Prestige Power is now automatically included in your Offline Progress rewards again (no need to spend gems on an upgrade to unlock it). If you had already spent gems on that previously required unlock, they will be automatically refunded. The gem cost of adding the other resources to offline rewards (runes, tech, battlepass exp, and mastery points) were significantly reduced by roughly 50%. If you had already spent gems on these, the difference will be automatically refunded. My reasoning for moving some of these resources from being previously freely included to now requiring a small gem cost is because these are very powerful resources that, in the early-game, are hard to come by due to shadows/aliens being difficult to kill with their HP scaling. It wouldn't make sense for these to be freely obtained from offline progress, because then early-game players would just be able to go offline to get better rewards (for free) than if they played actively and had to deal with the HP scaling limitations. That's just silly. So, I think it's fair they have to pay a few gems to unlock this benefit. For late-game players, these offline resources barely make a dent and so aren't too important, but also the gem cost should feel pretty negligible for them at that point anyways.

Chest Overhaul & Slot Machine Boost Chest System Rework Chests now stack up and display a red notification badge in the top right corner showing how many are waiting to be opened. Opening a chest launches a spinning wheel that cycles through items with smooth deceleration before landing on your prize. Colorful confetti bursts across the screen when the wheel stops. After the wheel lands you are presented with TAKE to add the item to your inventory or EXPEL to trade it for XP based on rarity. If your inventory is full you can click an existing item to sell it and make room. Bug Fixes Fixed a bug where the chest icon would permanently show 1 chest remaining even after opening. The counter now correctly decrements and the icon disappears when no chests are pending. Slot Machine: Boost System The Slot Machine now features a BOOST ODDS button that costs 5 additional ascension coins per spin. Activating it significantly increases your chances of rolling Captain Chomps and Stabby McSpear on the reels. Once a special unit is unlocked through the slots it is permanently removed from the reel pool so you never waste a roll on something you already have. When both units are unlocked the boost button is replaced with a completion message.

Grenades are now live in Breach Squad.This update expands your tactical options during missions. You can now use grenades to control enemy movement, disrupt dangerous targets, and create breathing room when your squad is under heavy pressure.Grenades add a new layer of decision-making to combat: when to throw, where to target, and which enemy group to break before things get out of control. Greetings Berry Bouncers! (Berry Farmers? Berry Bois?) Day 1 has been pretty good. Not a massive amount of problems but still plenty to correct. Additions Nyla (Dog) I was clearly not in my right head space when I finished up the game the other night. Nyla released with the game, unpettable. So after this grievous error was brought up to me, I went all in on fixing it. Now Nyla can be pet and even has vocals to go along with the new animation. She can be pet on the farm or in the Market, so show her some love. Changes Panel/Menu Exiting I had some small zones you could click on to exit the menus but they were hard to click on . I've expanded them over the entire screen so as long as you aren't clicking on a panel (or scrolling section) it should exit the menu without having to click those pesky menu buttons again. Fixes Settings Volume settings weren't functioning correctly on profile creation, but now they are. Tutorial The tutorial wasn't popping up after booting up the first time, but now it is. Also you can view the tutorial with the ? button on the bottom bar if you missed it the first time. That is about it for the moment. Homelab Update is Live!Today we've launched the largest upgrade system to the game to date, featuring 8 categories and 32 unique upgrade types. The nature of the Homelab system is it involves a steady flow of upgrade power, and doesn't allow a player to simply spend currency for instant results. It requires time for upgrades to unlock and improve, and there is no way to pay to force them to complete faster.New upgrades are revealed as you level up your Homelab by installing new components and upgrading the aspects of each section. These upgrades include unique new effects, mostly tailored around defensive mechanics. You will eventually find upgrades that can reduce enemy critical hit chance/damage, the ability to stun enemies for a round, and even the ability to preserve part of your win streak after you lose.This system will continue to get expanded over time, as it provides a strong base to add unique new effects that can affect hacking, gathering, and community events.
