This patch is primarily for bugfixes and some minor improvements! Code 'time' revamp!Code 'time' is no longer a game of luck, but instead a game of timing. When you click on the button to redeem this code, or manually type it in the promocodes box, you will be given the following message: Are you a bona fide time teller? Let's find out. If you can click the button between \ and \ seconds after pressing 'OK', You win \ Quarks! Due to how long it has been since your last attempt, the rewards are multiplied by \. Clicking the CANCEL button will not consume your time attempts. Pressing the OK button starts the game. You must then press the OK button again within the range of times provided to you (this range will be displayed while the game is in progress for your convenience). If you press the OK button a second time within the stated range, you win! Because you are given the time bounds ahead of time, a master of time can win this minigame every time! Changes: The tolerance for 'time' is now 1,000ms (1 second). A random number from 6 to 21 is selected. If you press 'OK' within 1 second, either early or late, you win! (So, without any upgrades there is a two second window)Cookie Upgrade 11 adds 25ms of tolerance per level, expanding the window by 50ms. The final level guarantees the rewards, even if you don't win under the rules of the game. You can still play the game if you want, though.The base Quark reward is reduced from 125 to 25, because you can now always win the minigame.You gain +5 Quarks as a base per highest Singularity, without limit.Removed the diminishing returns on the Quark reward (This is a buff for lategame players).Stats for Nerds improvement!Fixed the alternating highlighting lines in each stat box. This update addresses two serious bugs that could cause you to lose the game through no fault of your own. strongly recommend updating before your next play. I'm really sorry for any frustration these issues may have caused. Time Warp Bug Using Time Warp was accidentally speeding up enemies and resource generators instead of only affecting the intended targets. The more you used it, the worse it got. Enemies would arrive earlier and earlier, eating into your available play time. This has now been corrected so Time Warp only does what it's supposed to. Chapter 7 Final Secret A balance misconfiguration made it impossible to unlock Chapter 7's final secret through normal gameplay. This has been fixed and it's now fully reachable the way it was intended. Other Changes Chapter Memory actions no longer affect resource generators. Some Chapter 7 actions now use total less time. Fixed multiple typos found throughout the game. NOTE: Every ending and secret in this game should be completable without relying on bonus of Chapter Memories. If you find anything that feels gated or unreachable through normal play, please let me know. Thank you all for the feedback and support!

(internal) added labels for accessibility now you can see what happened when you died. core special training actions moved to “exploration” category. yellow now you cannot upgrade the camp in ruins without building it first. automated drink tasks now start a bit earlier, so you are not left with 0 hydration. gray removed all known soft-locking issues (but not the ones I don’t know 😉 ) end dark (gray) mode
- Backup system: This should prevent the loss of your save in the event of a crash in the middle of rewriting the save file. - Specialisations locked in the previous colony now unlock and stay selected when starting a new colony. - Added a new setting to scale the size of the hover tooltip box. This should help with descriptions readability on smaller screens and devices. - fixed effects description value display in Korean. - removed the "erase save file" button from the settings. - removed save buttons from the settings when in the title screen.

Before we dive into the hotfix notes, we want to take a moment to thank everyone for the incredible support, feedback, bug reports, and patience you've shown since the release of Version 2.4.0. As part of last week’s Lofi Girl Collaboration update, we upgraded our underlying game engine. While this allows us to build a better future for the game, it also introduced some unexpected technical complexities. We’ve been closely tracking reports of "fatal errors" and crashes, and today's hotfix aims to address them. Here is where things stand for each platform: 🖥️ Windows Players Intel CPU Fatal Errors: We found a permanent fix for the most common "fatal error" affecting newer Intel CPUs utilizing AI boosting features. This is resolved in today's hotfix. "Hang Detected" Crashes: We’ve received reports from players that these unexpected crashes have disappeared with the new engine version, which is fantastic news! Save File Corruption: The engine upgrade appears to have resolved the rare issue where save files could break during an unexpected game shutdown. We are crossing our fingers that players won't need to rely on save game backups moving forward. 🍏 Mac Players (Apple Silicon - M1/M2/M3) We have included a hotfix to address the performance drop introduced in our last update, and should fine with today’s hotfix. Note that Apple Silicon users have not experienced the any "fatal error" crashes. 💻 Mac Players (Intel Processors - 2021 and older) This is the hardest part of today's update. We have spent the last week trying multiple ways to fix or work around the "fatal errors" plaguing Intel Mac configurations, but we have run into a hard technical wall. The latest version of our engine changed a significant portion of the rendering backend, and it simply no longer aligns with the architecture of older Intel-based Macs.
