Even though the game is approaching its second anniversary, I can see that dozens of you are still playing it every day. I honestly didn't expect that, especially for my first game.

Egg Hatching Fix + Major Performance Improvements | v4.3.15 Egg Hatching Fix A bug was identified where hatch progress could occasionally be applied to a random egg instead of the currently equipped egg. This issue has now been corrected. The good news is that overall hatch progress should still have been recorded properly. The bug primarily affected where that progress was being assigned rather than the total amount earned. Massive Optimization Pass This update also includes a major optimization pass focused on improving overall game performance. Players should notice smoother gameplay, improved responsiveness, and reduced FPS impact in many situations. While optimization is an ongoing process, this update contains some of the largest performance improvements made to the game so far. Additional Fixes Several other edge-case bugs have also been patched as part of this update. If you believe you recently lost progress due to one of these issues, please reach out and I will investigate whether a recovery is possible. Ultimate Blacksmith Tycoon Update (EA r70) Patch Notes

Fixed the stampede-defense tech nodes being impossible to unlock. "Evacuation Drills," "Stone Wall," and "Magic Barrier" required your danger level to climb past a threshold, but the mercenary garrison (and a threshold bug on deep dungeons) capped it so they could never be unlocked. The Caution/Warning/Critical danger tiers now separate correctly even on deep dungeons, and mercenary suppression no longer fully pins danger down — so stampedes can actually occur. Those nodes' unlock requirements were also eased to a Warning-level basis.Fixed a spoiler in the stampede threat window. It used to list the names of late-game dungeons you hadn't reached yet; it now only shows dungeons you've actually dispatched to.Fixed some remaining Japanese text in the English build. Added 3 Act I legendary style weapons: Steel: Skyspire Thermalline Oathblade Shaft: Skyspire Thermalline Longrifle Aether: Skyspire Thermalline Starfocus Changed Act I Anchor for the High Thermals: It now grants exactly one legendary weapon based on the player’s class combat style. Fixed late Pale Sun ring itemization: Buffed Dragon Memory Ring as the Aether-style ring. Added Steel and Shaft equivalents so Aether was not the only style with a late ring upgrade. Added/updated late style rings: Aether: Dragon Memory Ring Steel: Suncracked Scale Ring Shaft: Windscour Gale Ring These were made stronger than the older neutral rings and given extra stats.

Heroic Deeds • The Heroic Deed “Catch ’Em All!” has been expanded: As a reward for collecting 200 different sidekicks, you’ll now receive a new sidekick with an especially strong special skill! Items • The item comparison and sidekick comparison have been expanded and now show the impact of modifications and the set bonus. • Items that are better based on their base stats now have a new icon (dashed arrow). • The detailed comparison can be disabled in the settings. • In Heroic Deeds, item rewards now always show the exact items — including a preview. • Item rewards in collection events have been improved. Casino • A new set can now be won in the Casino — with a special new set bonus that grants you a higher chance for the best winnings. • You can now always switch between 1x, 5x, or 10x spins. • Your Casino animation setting is now saved. Fixed the "Grand Warehouse" tech node so it can be unlocked repeatedly again. It had quietly become a one-time unlock (a regression). You can now keep expanding your storage caps, which also helps with material overflow.Eased the unlock requirement for the "Time Manipulation" tech. Changed from "reach year 3" to "reach year 2" (about one in-game year of play).The combat log window now closes when you claim a reward from the dispatch status/list view (previously it only closed when claiming from inside the window itself).Fixed item/equipment hover tooltips lingering on another screen. Ultimate Blacksmith Tycoon Update (EA r66) Patch Notes

Reworked the "inventory full" auto-sell. Previously, when your material inventory was full, the game would auto-sell materials you already owned to make room. It no longer does that — materials already in your inventory are never auto-sold. Only the overflow from the rewards you just received is converted to gold, and rewards are now received highest-rarity-first, so even when not everything fits, the most valuable materials are kept.Added search to the Encyclopedia. Search monsters and equipment (weapons/armor/tools) by name, and search jobs by their unlock requirements (e.g. "sword"). Switching tabs re-runs the search within that tab. The search box is now easier to read, with an "×" button to clear it.Fixed unresponsive tech-tree nodes and the "Unlock" button. Node click detection now correctly follows pan/zoom, and the "Unlock" button commits the moment you press it — no more clicking several times.Removed the "Rebirth" and "Dimensional Rift" tech nodes. Both were placeholders for NG+, which has been dropped, so they were taken out.Reworked the loan repayment buttons. Reforge fix — When you reforged at a level lower than your personal best, the game would restart you at the wrong level, causing your round bonus preview to show 0 . This is now fixed Controller: use LT/RT to switch upgrade tabs — You can now use the left and right triggers to switch between tabs in the upgrade overlay, matching the bumpers (LB/RB). Works on both standard controllers and Steam Deck.

More straight from your suggestions — making the game easier to read, and easier to read at a glance. Resize the UI New UI Scale slider (Menu ▸ Display) — text or buttons too small (or too big)? Drag the slider anywhere from 80% to 150% and the whole interface resizes instantly. A "Reset to 100%" button returns to the auto-detected size. The single most-requested quality-of-life feature — thank you to everyone who asked. Live income readout See your $/sec — each running skill now shows its current earnings rate right on its row, and the top bar shows your combined rate across every active skill. Easy to see at a glance what's paying off. Fixes Tidier achievements — fixed already-earned achievements popping up again on launch (and, in rare cases, appearing to grant all at once). They're synced quietly now, so only brand-new unlocks get a notification. Smoother offline play — fixed a softlock where maxing every skill while away could block new skills from unlocking. Fixed the Material Shop's owned-count so it matches the Crafting screen. The shop was also counting finished items crafted from a material, so it showed a higher number than crafting did.Added a guard so dispatch can no longer set the target floor shallower than the start floor. This reversed state was selectable and made the estimated reward / auto-return preview disagree with what actually happened.When an adventurer falls, the battle log now shows \ (red) / \ (orange) as color-coded text. We also replaced every garbled symbol (tofu boxes) across the battle log and status text with readable text.Reworked the Workshop's pricing and UI. Enhancement is now a 5-step ladder starting at 30,000 G (30k → 60k → 120k → 240k → 480k); modifier Remove = 10,000 G, Reroll = 5,000 G, Enchant = 40,000 G. The workshop panel was widened to fix overlapping text, and it now shows the weapon's full stats.Fixed the "Forbidden Craft" tech node to require 4 magic materials instead of 5. Update 6.1 — Hotfix

A quick fix from your reports — thank you for the detailed bug write-ups. Fixed Offline softlock — if you maxed every unlocked skill while the game was closed, the next department could stay locked even though you'd earned it (the unlock check only ran while you were actively playing). Your unlocks are now reconciled the moment you return, so new skills open up right away. Worth knowing Offline XP multiplier is working as intended — it is applied while you're away. If progress feels capped, that's the offline time limit: 4 hours by default, or a full week with the Unlimited Offline upgrade. The remainder is earned quickly once you're back online. Keep the reports coming — they go straight into the next update.
