Update 1.0.5 - Tutorial & UI

TutorialWho knew the tutorial could end up feeling like the final boss. That is how the last month has been for me. But now we have it, a tutorial for new players to feel welcome and introduced to the game! It’s short, but gives new players a clearer introduction to the core game loop, which was something a lot of feedback pointed out.UI UpdateExisting players probably won’t see the tutorial unless they reset their save, but they will notice a cleaner UI update. You can enjoy a new, clearer, way of eating bananas with a yellow button that feels amazing to press! As well as the tabs on the menu and adventure timer being clearer. Not the biggest update, but definitely one the game needed.What's next?If this update goes well, I'll keep working on a major content update. New Standalone AutoClicker App!

Hey! I had an idea yesterday to create an actual dedicated AutoClicker application, and put it inside JAMs as a bonus if you purchased the AutoClicker DLC: It not only will click for you in the game, but now has a second feature: it includes an entire separate program you can use on your computer for your general Auto-Clicking needs. Goes up to 1000 CPS! Break all the games! 😈 It's perfect because the AutoClicker itself is essential to our game right now, it's practically a required purchase so why not slap a whole program in there as a bonus toss-in feature to say thanks for buying the DLC and maybe it will encourage more people to pick it up just for this feature alone, you don't need JAMs running to use it. You should already see it in-game if you are on Windows! Fully translated in all of our supported languages. To launch it, you can find the program in the install directory, or you can use this button here in the settings to launch it, and then you can pin it onto your desktop in the AutoClicker UI on the About page. Enjoy! Oh and new items comin' don't worry, keep collecting duplicates though to farm Gold anyway in the meantime while JAMs Animator gets put together.

Honestly, it has been a much bigger undertaking than what I initially realized. Godot is overall a really wonderful game engine, but its native support for mobile development is still getting there in a lot of ways. There have been a lot of tasks which seem simple that wound up taking weeks of banging my head against the computer. But all of this effort has definitely been worthwhile! I've been testing the game on my phone lately -- it has been a long time since I've really played my own game -- and I have to say it's pretty fun! It has been nice to sort of rediscover that with some fresh perspective. I hope you all have as much fun...
