🐾 Pet Balance, Prayers & a Fix Pass Balance Pet drops are now balanced across every skill. The Firemaking and Cremation pets were dramatically slower than the rest (a Firemaking pet on elder logs was ~15× harder than Mining/Woodcutting/etc). All 17 pets now sit on the same difficulty curve. Iron Will is now +18% Melee Attack (it was mistakenly set to +15% Defense). This fills the high-tier melee attack prayer slot to match Range's Eagle Eye. Bug Fixes Flawed Ruby from monster/dungeon drops now gives the real, usable gem with its proper icon (it was showing a loot-crate icon and couldn't be used in crafting). Existing stranded stacks are auto-converted on load. Elder Salts (and all pyre salts) now drop while burning logs offline — overnight burning no longer yields zero salts. Bank: depositing or withdrawing items no longer shuffles the rest of your inventory around — items keep their slot, so your bag stops "moving." Backpacks no longer flicker when sitting in the bank. Offline dungeon contracts: auto-farming a dungeon contract overnight now keeps the contract active (re-accepts it) instead of leaving you with an empty slot you'd refill with a random monster contract. Quality of Life The Grand Backpack's +10% skilling XP now appears in the "Active Bonuses" XP breakdown, so you can finally see where that bonus comes from. Bank placeholders now also appear when an item is fully consumed by crafting (not just by withdrawing), preserving your tab layout. Beastmaster ("Find every pet") now correctly requires 17 pets — there are 17, one per skill (it was asking for 16).

Cleaner poop & composting — drag your pet's poop onto the tree to compost; gifted "prank" poop is smaller now, with a clearer compost countdown. Display fix — pets, tree and panels no longer appear off-screen on displays scaled above 100% (125% / 150%). "Show dinos" now gathers your pets to the center of the monitor you're actually using.

Several enemy abilities (crowd control, attack buffs, armor corrosion, evasion, and summons) were internally no-ops, so enemies just stood there on those turns. They're now implemented, adding more give-and-take to dungeon fights.Stun / Bind / Petrify briefly stop the target from acting; Buff raises damage dealt; Corrode raises damage taken; Evasion lowers damage taken; Summon calls reinforcements.Fixed an outlier enemy stat (Aqua_Siren) that was far too strong for its dungeon tier.🐛 FixesFixed equipped adventurers occasionally returning dead from non-lethal damage. There were some problems in the archive, some tasks were failing to be counted as part of the archive (the prestige tasks were being identified as part of the archive, despite them not showing up on the archive itself). A new build has been pushed for Windows and Mac users. For Mac users, this should significantly drop the CPU usage across all sections of the game. For Mac and Windows users, this update adds a DNS fallback for users who may be on networks where the game's domain name (idlehacking.com) may trigger filtering due to the word "Hacking". If the game detects a connection failure due to a DNS resolution failure, it will attempt a fallback to ih.gigaforge.com instead.
We've fixed adventurer skills and healing so they work correctly in combat.🔧 Combat fixesThe Heal skill now actually restores HP to allies (previously it had no effect).Skills now activate correctly. Under some conditions, skills were being silently blocked, which caused adventurers to repeat an ineffective action (like a Heal that did nothing) instead of attacking. This is fixed, so adventurers now properly use their abilities in dungeons.We'll keep tuning combat balance — feedback and bug reports are welcome via the button on the title screen.
We've addressed the root cause behind the recent save-visibility issue (which r60 made recoverable). To make sure an update can never make your saves disappear again, we've permanently improved how saves are stored.🛡 Saves now live in a safe, stable locationSave data is now stored outside the game's install folder (in your user profile), in a location that updates and file verification can no longer touch.Any saves that were in a different location are automatically migrated to the new location on launch — no action needed, and your existing data carries over.☁ Cloud Save supportAdded Steam Cloud Save, so you can continue on another PC and have a backup if your PC ever fails.The r60 recovery feature is still included (if your list ever looks empty, your data can still be restored from the files on your PC).We apologize again for the trouble, and we'll keep improving so you can play with peace of mind.
