Dungeon 2, The Primal Lands, is now available!

Version 1.2, aka the Primal Lands, is a major expansion to Soda Dungeon 2! You may access this area as long as you are in Dimension 2 or higher by speaking with the new character outside of the Wizard's Hut. 5 new areas with new enemies, bosses, and attacks: The Tar Swamp, River, Veldt, Mountain, and Jungle. New story content and quests. 50 new items, including MYTHICS! 7 new minable ores and related plating effects. New stats to tinker with: Essence Multiplier, Withering (reduces enemy stats), +Battle credits per boss defeated, and Enemy stat boost (stronger enemies drop more gold) New statuses: MP Drain, Frozen, and Delirium (chance to attack friendly characters) Fixed an issue where the Drinkin' Buddies bundle wouldn't give characters back after entering a new dimension This update has been in development for quite some time, so we hope the wait was worth it. Thank you to all of the Discord beta testers that helped to work the bugs out of the final build! For those interested in the nitty gritty details, here's a full list of patch notes for this update: Wither currently caps at 90% Fishing currently offers a 50/50 chance of boosting your team ATK or HP for the remainder of the run. Each battle location can only be fished once (if the battle takes place in the tar swamp or river) New ores can naturally spawn in the veldt OR mountain, as well as the usual mineshafts Of the 50 new items, 10 are rares, 2 per area, for lower level players Of the 50, 23 are mythics. Of those 23, 13 are unique and can only be found once. Mythics won’t drop until floor 1k and can't be obtained while using Battle Credits Ambushes cannot occur in river/tar swamp Paths in dungeon 2 will require 2 keys after level 1000 Up to 2 ambushes per area can occur after level 1000 In Dungeon 1 (Castle), enemy stat boosts received a 1.2x multiplier at level 500. The end of an era

Alright I'm having to make a difficult decision here. The more I work on sound effects the more I realize how insane of a task it actually is. There's tons of enemies that need hit, death, and attack sounds (especially for bosses), tons of items, props, player specific sound effects etc. The list is well into the hundreds, and I am by no means a competent sound designer. I have no idea what I'm doing really and some sounds have taken upwards of 30-40 minutes to get to the point that I'm satisfied with it. I just cannot dedicate this much time into Bounty Below. It's gotten me thinking about that as a whole as well. While the release certainly alleviated some of dread I felt working on Bounty Below for a while, all of that energy has faded away now. It's incredibly difficult to force myself to continue working on Bounty Below when, as I've stated a few times in the past, it was never a game I was too passionate about to begin with. I'm choosing to end things here unfortunately. I wish I could find the drive to polish it up more, but it just doesn't feel worth it anymore. Sound effects would certainly help the feel of dungeons, but there are way deeper fundamental flaws getting in the way of that goal anyways so why waste hours and weeks of development time when I could be spending it making something much better? I'm proud of myself for pushing the game to a point where I'm satisfied with its release, and hopefully you aren't too disappointed with things as they are. I'm very excited to work on some of the ideas I've had on my mind for the 5+ years I've been stuck working on Bounty Below, and I hope you'll enjoy them when they're ready! Mid and late game balance improvements

Buffed the scaling ascension perk that speeds up prestige layer unlocks and the scaling heirloom that speeds up combat actions. By effect, this makes various time-based milestones available sooner as well Added a biggest stats chain option for ascension autobuyers, which uses a similar mechanic as mixed prioritization if enabled Improved the performance of some internal formulas for high amounts of prestige layers Improved the buy max button displayed accuracy a bit for certain number ranges Lowered the local save frequency to up to twice per second, down from up to twenty times per second, to reduce disk usage during offline progress processing Various textual corrections/clarifications Oh and I recently released my second game: Increlution, into Steam Early Access! New Content: Hero Ascension! Ascending a hero will reset all of his attribute levels and exp in exchange for Ascension Points (AP). These can be used for incredibly powerful and unique upgrades such as boosting the hero's Skill Power or Strength and Alchemy attributes. Added a hero card Tier Pack VIII. Changes: The number of cards required for Tower Tiers were given a cap. This ensures buying card packs to increase Tiers remains a viable source for increasing DPS. Significantly increased the number of hero cards in the Premium hero gem packs and the Epic and Legendary Promo packs. Improved some Debuff tower skills: Assassinate works partially on bosses; Teleport has a 100% chance; Weaken has a splash effect; and Stun timers were extended. The Block Aura skill now stacks. Buffed the DPS, Gold Drop, and Kill Exp upgrades in the Tech, Tournament, and Gem menus to be more worth their cost. Increased the contents of Resource Packs (especially gold at higher waves). Increased gold from Daily Play Bonus at higher waves. The Daily Play Bonus menu now shows your current reward multiplier, as well as how many days you are away from the next multiplier. Moved the death screen behind all other menus. Improved the in-game FAQ. Bug Fixes: Fixed the achievement earned for unlocking all 40 unique towers.

A balancing act

Hopefully this is the final of the balance patches needed to be done for the idle portion of the game! I know it's annoying easily destroying rocks and progressing at your current tier and then when you wake up there's an update that strips that away from you. If anyone finds themselves in a position where they genuinely can't progress because they saved in an area that's no longer acceptable with their current damage - Feel free to join the Discord and DM me! I'll gladly doctor your save file to fix the issue.

Major balance pass for idle progression Fixed an issue that caused 0 ore to be too expensive You'll now find at least one chest on nearly every dungeon floor Rebalanced weaker dungeon item modifiers (especially ones found on earlier levels) Fixed some saving/loading issues with dungeons Fixed items overlapping one another in dungeons which made it impossible to interact with one of the two Fixed some input issues with dungeons Fixed a niche softlock case for dungeons where previously you could fly to an upgrade shrine, reroll or annul your flight modifier, and be unable to return to the side of the map with the exit Slightly adjusted the positioning of the crafting timing bar to more accurately display the sweet spot Hopefully that covers most of the day one criticism!
