Hello!Version 2.2.0 of FACEMINER is now live. It has some big changes under the hood, and some smaller ones on top of it.The big change under the hood:You might or might not know that FACEMINER is secretly a web app. It's all built using a framework called Vue 2. Vue 2 hit its end of life back in 2023, and I've been putting off updating it ever since. One year post-launch, it felt like now was the time to do it. Many breaking changes and bugfixes later, the game should now hopefully (hopefully!) run a little bit smoother, and maybe more importantly, be easier to maintain long into the future. If you run into anything that doesn't look right, or changes that seem unintentional... They probably are, so please let me know.Endless Casual! For those who want to chill in the OS and not worry too much about losing, there’s a mode for that now. No more BSODs/negative balances/overheating. As with the other 'Endless Modes', you just have to beat the normal game first.QOL:Window positions are now saved as part of your session, and can be resetCan now switch temperature between C and FCan now use keyboard arrows to explore the marketplace and emails (enter key to buy things)New 'sharp text' mode in the Settings menu (useful for some resolution/monitor setups, which I noticed can be a little blurry)Fix for processing undercounting (I don't think anybody noticed, including me, but the ‘data processed’ count has always been off -- this number will go up much faster now)Bugfixes:Ghost windows fixed? The ‘ghost window’ bug that was happening for some users specifically on Windows 11 machines is hopefully resolved. If it’s still happening for you, please let me know (ideally along with your system specs).Fix for copy paste not working for some users in Endless ExpandedSome dark mode visibility improvementsImprovements to achievement unlock stability Other NoticesThe game is currently on sale to celebrate one year since launch! If you enjoyed it, tell your friends. We're making a new g...
I recently tested Void Salvage on old Steam Deck, and I was honestly surprised by how smooth it felt.Even though the game was originally built around mouse controls, the Deck's trackpad handled it really well. It did not have that awkward feeling some mouse-heavy PC games get when played on Deck. Movement felt natural and responsive. Overall it was a much better experience than I expected.I guess a big part of that is the magic of Proton. It is always kind of wild seeing a Windows game run this comfortably on handheld Linux hardware without needing a huge amount of extra work.I am still learning how Steam Deck verification works on Valve's side, but from my own testing, the game already feels very playable on Deck. That is exciting, because I want Void Salvage to be easy to pick up whether you are at a desk or playing on the couch. If you try it on Steam Deck, let me know how it feels for you. Feedback like that helps a lot as I keep polishing the experience.
Thank you all for your feedback, we've worked very hard to improve the game! Since version 2.5.2 hasn't completely fixed all bugs relating to outranged enemies, this version should have handled all the last. - \ Enemy out of range while using Vergebrand - \ Update level design - \ Wizard's animation
Hey everyone,Skeleseller launches very soon. I'm excited (and nervous 😬) and I've still been working hard on everything. This post coincides with updating the demo and the release versions of the game here on Steam, but it's mostly minor changes that aren't worth detailing. Some content creators on YouTube and Twitch have been covering the launch version of the game if you'd like to check it out. For example, here's Idle Cub's 3h16m video, which I had a lot of fun watching.I hope you'll all enjoy the game on Tuesday! I plan to celebrate the launch on my Twitch stream. 😁Cheers!-Adam
Fixed an issue where the game paused when Alt-Tabbing.

Hi all,Thanks for playing and for the bug reports! Soon we'll be communicating more about our plans and future, stay tunned! This patch covers a round of balance improvements, quality of life changes, and several bug fixes.BALANCE & ENHANCEMENTS:General:Difficulty now ramps up faster across levels. The intent of continuing to stay in a level after portal opens is to have a risk / reward of staying longer vs securing the level beaten.Increased soul rewards of level 2 and 3. Now level 2 grants 30 souls and level 3 grants 100.To compensate for the increased rewards, some higher level talents have increased in price. If you have already purchased them, then you got a bargain!Portals now take 5 seconds longer to open: 35s on levels 1 and 2, 40s on level 3.UI:In battle you can see Dash cooldown icons and the time to spawn a new bomb.Maxed-out nodes now are shown more differently than not affordable ones.Added links to Discord and the Feedback formAdded in-game panel to show patch notesBUG FIXES:General:Massive performance improvement. FPS should now be much more stable and performance-related crashes should no longer occur. Please report if you still experience any performance issues.Levels 4 and 5 were not intended to be playable, but they were. Now they are not (for now!)Fixed Reporting Bugs screen not loading correctly and changed reporting button from F5 to F2. Fixed navigation on the Reporting Bugs screen (WASD now works correctly). In Process:Some users have reported a crash on the Game Over screen when beating a level. I haven’t been able to reproduce it, but I’ve made some changes which hope will fix it Thanks for the continued feedback. More updates soon!

New update! We've heard your feedback on wanting to play all levels on endless without any token limits, so we've added a mode for that now. You'll find a checkbox on endless levels 1-8 to play the unrestricted versions. We wanted to get this out sooner rather than later, so some additional balancing may still be needed. Please let us know what you think! We've also increased HP scaling again on waves 20 and above in endless. This should most notably affect level 9, so we've gone ahead and reset the leaderboard on it. Full changes below: Added Unrestricted Endless mode. Levels 1-8 can now also be played without any token limits, with separate enemy scaling and leaderboards. The endless challenge can still be completed in this mode. Increased token limit on Level 2 Endless from 1000 triangle tokens to 2500Fixed a bug that counted two of the same artifact as only one in the token limited modesIncreased HP scaling of endless waves above 20Fixed a bug that caused the "Master" achievement to not activate when beating an endless levelVarious performance improvements
New Features“Bond & Rewards” Preview Added placeholder tabs for Gacha (Draw) and Affection systems within the Bond & Rewards menu. → These sections are currently for testing purposes only—buttons are non-functional, and core mechanics are still under active development.New Content in Testing Created 5 full outfit sets and several individual clothing pieces, along with over 20 new character animations. All of these assets are now in the game and undergoing testing and refinement.Optimizations & FixesChat Bubble Stability Fixed an odd bug that occasionally caused dialogue bubbles to appear too frequently.Window Detection Improved Resolved most cases where Zena would incorrectly “sit in mid-air” due to hidden windows being misidentified. ⚠️ However, this issue may still occur with certain third-party applications, as it’s impossible to test every program on the market. If you encounter this, please let us know!Accidental Action Prevention Added confirmation pop-ups for select sensitive actions to prevent unintended operations.
Possible fix to the tiny mode issues.
Fixed - 1. When turning off sound player is now able to turn off both music and all other sound effects. 2. Game is no more forced to be over the top, and other windows can overlay it.

SummaryThis update includes several significant balance changes and a lot of small content changes. So let's go over the larger balance highlights first.Food SynthesisersThe food synths have always bugged me. Sure, you'd get better at pressing the buttons by doing it lots, but how/why would you pressing the buttons better make them use less power to create the same amount of food? So they've been given the same treatment as a tram - there's a short action to start it going, then the majority of the time is covered by an event. The event has a fixed time, so it uses a fixed amount of power. This has a few side effects. For starters, you can queue up several (up to 5) portions of food to be synthed, then leave and do other things while it actually gets made. When you come back, all the items are sat there waiting for you to quickly pick them up. It also preserves the balance better, and leaves much more room for future content to do more interesting things with them.Journey to StraboThis journey caused a lot of frustration for people, especially on the first attempt, mostly due to a lack of information. So the changes here are mostly just giving more/better information rather than actual balance changes. Before even starting the journey, you'll learn from Laurion that a supply cache was left along the route by the evacuation, and once you've reached the cache the first time the journey action will be split in 2 so you know when exactly you'll reach it in future.Strabo PowerStrabo's original power system was very heavily skewed in favour of people who already knew all the content. Arriving very early gave you a huge advantage. But if you knew exactly what you were doing, even if you arrived very late you could still complete the entire facility relatively easily thanks to the backup generator and amount of fuel you were given. Now, arriving later has far less impact on how much power is available. Once you arrive power will run out a lot faster (unless you micromanage it...
